'13 KY DE Jason Hatcher (USCw Commit)

I really wish the coaches would have put the heat on this guy, and told him that if he commits to USC, then they will be pursuing other prospects, and that someone may take his spot. Deep down I really believe this guy wants to be a Vol...Ramsey and Kiffin got in his head a little and now he's questioning his thought process. He's taking the easy road by telling himself that he can commit at one place to reserve a spot, and then if we win big and the coaching staff is safe, then he can flip to us...he sees it as a win-win. If the coaches would have pressed him (and maybe they did...who knows), then maybe he goes ahead and commits to us, and tells Kiffie thanks but no thanks, Snake!

How do you know the coaches didn't try and put the heat on him? They very well could have, and I'm with you on that, I hope they did as well. But I can't blame the guy for wanting to see how our season goes. And I think it's a little harsh to say he's taking the easy road by committing to USC, considering all the talk about him switching to us if we have a good season is all speculation by us recruiting nuts lol.

Looks like another one gets fooled by the used car salesman. We will see if he changes his mind after we win this year.

Hatcher ripped us apart for losing to kentucky. Saw this on rivals.
Then, there was the monumental collapse against Kentucky in November. The Vols had beaten the Wildcats every season since 1982. Even mom, who says she knows very little about football, took that one to heart.

"The only downside at Tennessee is they lost to U of K," Donna Hatcher said. "They're at the bottom of the barrel."

Jason Hatcher was so displeased that he brought up his concerns with Tennessee's coaches.

"I told them 'You lost to the University of Kentucky. You lose to UK, you lose to everybody because UK finishes last in the SEC every year.'" he said.

Hard to argue with the logic.

Sounds like what the SC coaches sold him on. A lot of teams have lost to Kentucky in the last 28 years. But don't worry , Jason. You will be getting to play cupcake schools like Kentucky almost every week in the Pac Fudge.

UT will be just fine without Jason Hatcher. Personally, I hope we stop recruiting the kid and focus on better players who actually want to be Vols. Plenty out there. JMO

Good luck in LA!
