It doesn't matter who gave him the cash, etc. It matters that it happened as a student/athlete at USC. That is the point.

Between UT and USC I am assuming? From Skeeter info. in the past he should be Vol. Did he ever come and make that visit with his mother?

I wouldn't be to worried. He'll likely announce USC and then re-evaluate at the end of the year. Now if he commits to SC and Tenn doesn't get off to a good start....*que worrying*

I still can't believe that 24/7 downgraded Hatcher because he's short. At the college level, there have been plenty of short DEs, and with his athleticism I don't see height being an issue.

24/7's ranking are pretty garbage imo. Their board however is top notch...

Did he announce? Nobody looking dumb regardless if he announces USC. POsters have every right to question rival fans motives when coming on a team board and declaring something that has yet to occur.

Ya, he's been favoring UT for a while based on interviews and reports, but he's made it clear he wants to make sure UT really is on the rise again. He may now be favoring SC, but I'm not worried about losing him on NSD IF we have a good year. Family and proximity seem to be very big for him, so unless UT lays an egg this year, I still think UT on NSD. He very well might announce SC next week though, if he buys into the limited spots pitch.

He apparently already notified the coaches that he was going to be taking a spot. Long way from over though. Things will change in a hurry if UT starts hot...

And I'm guessing its just that, holding a spot in case UT sucks again this year. I doubt this is a solid shut-down-my-recruitment commit, if true.

Hatcher is a stud, when I saw him last year he would simply run around the OT's trying to block him. None of them could get out of their stance quick enough. But he is short for a Defensive End prospect. He's probably right about 6'feet and doesn't have much length either. I think he projects best as a Linebacker in a 3-4, however he could probably be a good OLB in a 4-3 as well. No way the kid should be a 3-star though. 247 has some horrible rankings. Not a huge surprise considering Scout (huge Midwest/Big 10 homers) started up that site.

I had a feeling he'd end up at either USC or OSU, that's at least what I had been told recently by one of the Trinity assistants.
