When asked about Tennessee after his commitment to USC he said that he could never play for a team that lost to Kentucky because that is bottom of the barrel.

Hatcher ripped us apart for losing to kentucky. Saw this on rivals.
Then, there was the monumental collapse against Kentucky in November. The Vols had beaten the Wildcats every season since 1982. Even mom, who says she knows very little about football, took that one to heart.

"The only downside at Tennessee is they lost to U of K," Donna Hatcher said. "They're at the bottom of the barrel."

Jason Hatcher was so displeased that he brought up his concerns with Tennessee's coaches.

"I told them 'You lost to the University of Kentucky. You lose to UK, you lose to everybody because UK finishes last in the SEC every year.'" he said.

I agree. With all the trouble surrounding their d-line coach why deal with it? He just needs to head a few hours south to UT and play on the opposite side of Lawson. Forget all of that "we need to focus on Lawson" crap. Lawson isn't about being the "only DE taken" in this class. He wants to be the cornerstone of the class, and wants other talent around him. Getting Hatcher on campus would only help our chances.
