Good luck in their offensive style

I think you will see greater number of pass attempts v. run, LSU's style has never really change though.

Actually Les has quite a good record at getting WRs in the NFL, I see 9 players drafted at WR since he has been there if you count Holiday and I believe there are a few more which are on practice rosters.

LSU is going to have to open it up and if they are up big they need to keep throwing it even if the other team complains like Petrino did... so they can get better at it.

Back on topic. I am having a hard time seeing what Quantavius Leslie is about by film.

You may be right about them opening it up. Just going on past performance. typically more run heavy.

And I am sure Lsu does have WRs in the league. They recruit a lot of 4 & 5*s So elite talent finds its way to the nfl usually.

Y'all got a good commit today. Congrats

LSU finally has a QB that is capable of throwing the ball in Mettenberger. But, at the end of the day, LSU is going to be a run-heavy offense. Wasn't Randle drafted? So there's Beckham Jr. and Shepard (not really a WR). Who else?

9 wideouts drafted because of their personal talent or because of LSU's offense?

Of course they had talent but the question was one or at least my take on what was said was more like, "LSU can't get a WR drafted". Maybe I took the comment out of context.

I believe it's a combination of talent, opportunity and chemistry. Heck take Holliday, he would have been playing at Southern if not for LSU, probably would have rode the bench there but LSU found a niche for him.

LSU should be a run first team, of course success can be your biggest downfall... which was of course what happened. Next year, if LSU is good enough to be up by 30 on some team, I say throw the freaking ball when the other team puts 9 in the box.

At some point, you have to play the game even if you are up by 20-30 points which LSU failed to do. You have to get better.

If the point is LSU needs to get better passing, I agree with that one, however I disagree with premise of what was said.

Either way, LSU was in need of a taller WR which Quantavius Leslie fits the bill.

Your evaluation is about spot on... Shepard is not really a WR which to me has been causing problems (A guy with talent but no real position)

Basically unproven talent... Boone, Wright, Landry... Landry could be the guy.

Patrick Peterson's brother will be here but to me I am not so sure on that one yet.

Basically LSU needed a tall receiver in the group that is ready to go. I like Shepard, he seems like a real good kid, he works hard, he promotes LSU... but at the end of the day he just doesn't have a position. I have no problem with him be on the bench.

Since Randle left early we could have used the height at the position. Really the only height right now is Armand Williams which has only seen limited action.

Actually the two taller WRs LSU has worked hard to get over the last couple of years the Vols ended up with... Hunter and Patterson.
