Did Mullen or Croom recruit Bumphis? Or did it not really matter? I can't remember.

Mullen... Bumphis was likely Florida-bound before his hiring in Starkville, while Patrick Patterson was committed to Croom(he flamed out @ OM, but they were the consensus top 2 receivers in MS that year). Bumphis is great in the slot...it's a shame that he went 3 years without a QB that could get him the ball and doesn't have any help over the top as a senior.

We bring back our entire two-deep on offense everywhere but WR/TE, where we lose our 79% of our total production in all starters and 5 of our top 7 receivers. We offer immediate PT and a shallow depth chart at the position, with only 1 guy over 6'2. Losing Jason Croom to you guys last year was a tremendous blow for this reason. (Likely) losing Rumph to UGA is huge for the same reason. We've literally got no one else for the role...

Bumphis is a bust to an extent too. He's never came up big against good competition. I watched him run out of bounds after anyone put the helmet on the kid. I was extremely disappointed with Bumphis against LSU and Bama year after year.

SN: Don't think I'm just ragging on your guy because I've lit into JH11 all this year for my own team. :)
