He punts and plays QB in the highlights from HS. He obviously isn't a QB but the kid has a great arm and moves really well for 6'5".

Every time I see a WR prospect that is 6'5", I can't help but think of what a waste of talent Matt Milton was. Kid had a killer high school highlight reel. It's a shame he transferred.

He didn't have much experience at WR, and terrible hands. I agree, though. Waste of a talented player.

Our wr corps could make a good basketball team if we keep after these 6'5" pass catchers

Rumph is a terrific athlete who played for a horrible HS team. He was a WR for Brookland-Cayce during their 0-10 2009 season and then moved to QB as a senior. Even though he accounted for 1748 yards of total offense, B-C finished with just a 2-9 record.

Rumph was named to the 3A all-state basketball team his senior year. He averaged 18 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists per game.

Either this kid sucked in HS, or the person who made that highlight film should slap their head. Why you gona put a guy whos 6'5 and a WR punting the ball? If this kid has got'n better at JUCO, then hes worth a Scholarship. But if I'm goin off this film, Not a chance I'd offer him anything. Cordarrlle makes this guy look elementary:eek:lol:

I'm thinking he must have seen Darr before making this tape, and thought if Darr can be a punter in college anybody can

"Now, I know a lot. I know that when I come in they won't have that many receivers so they want to bring me in for a big role because I'm a big receiver and being an older guy and being a leader for the receivers. I like the scheme that they run and I like what they offer," Rumph said.

"I like that because me being as big as I am going against a junior college corner that's an advantage already, but going against a 6-foot-2 corner is still an advantage because I'm long and tall," Rumph said. "Also, being the player I am, I'm not a selfish player and if teams play me one-on-one I can beat them and when they double-team me I'm OK with them not throwing the ball. That's why I want to have a good team that will win."

Being a part of a winning team is not the only requirement Rumph has in his mind for the school he will eventually sign with.

"My decision will come down to how much they want me and what's good for me,"Rumph said.

I like the sound of that. I think he understands that even if he's not getting the ball every play, he can still impact the play by drawing the defenders away.
