13' JUCO TE Brandon Vandenburg

Hubbs and friends have said he's a take. I'm siding with them. You aren't.

Agree to disagree.

It's all good. I like discussing the process for reasons I don't need to discuss on here.

Has hubbs commented since the hs kid committed?

Surely you don't think going to see a kid that is a backup plan is a waste of time in December. It would be malpractice if our staff didn't have plan B in place.

I'm out too, Bruin. Agree to disagree. Have a good day.

Nobody knows anything really. Recruiting is too spontaneous for anyone to predict. He could be a take now, but we might be on oversigning.com come May.

He may be a 100per take and I may be dead wrong but going to see a plan b recruit in December and an OV is certainly not a waste of time for our staff.

When Branisel committed and they kept on recruiting the JUCOs, it became obvious they want 5 TEs on the roster this year. Jackson is on the roster. He would’ve been cut loose already.

would have been interesting to see Rivera under CBJ. I felt he was underutilized last year.

Lol. Go quote it or link it for me.

You're beginning to reach the level of pathetic.

Jackson after elder visited him:
" I just don’t think they’ll have use for me up there. I’m still committed. I stay strong with Tennessee, but I don’t want to get up there and they don’t have any use for me. "

Sounds like a kid that got a real good warm and fuzzy feel of being wanted by the staff!!!

I guess you will certainly be pathetic by selectively deciding not to read this one!

I felt the same way all year long. Bray liked throwing the fade to JH & CP more than just getting 1st downs with his TE. That is why I think Worley will prove to be a much better QB in terms of spreading the ball around.

Lol. I was the one who posted the info from the article. It says nothing about his fit in the offense. He doesn't know. That's all it says.

So the quote wasn't about how he would fit into the offense???

Perhaps he was referring to how he would fit into our plans for him in the glee club!

What don't you understand? He's playing TE as the coaches have confirmed, Elder has visited him in Cali to discuss the team and the offense, and nothing has been said about his specific use or presence in the offense. I think it's safe to assume; however, we want him, as he's going to play TE based on everything since the article.

I think you're arguing just to argue. It's sad.

All the other TEs we are recruiting have commented about how excited they were with the plan the staff presented them with how they would be used in the system. This kid has just the opposite kind of quote. If we do indeed really want this kid then based on this kids quote directly after the visit, elder did a terrible job presenting him with the warm and fuzzy feeling of how he will fit into the plans.

Long story short, you're making an assumption. Cool. Moving on.

Making assumptions??

Isnt that what we do on here??

Keep in mind you are the one slinging insults toward a poster stating an opinion that admitly could be wrong.

Vandenburg tweeted about an hour ago that Nebraska is out of the running. So, looks like he'll play in the SEC either way.
