'13 JUCO DT Toby Johnson

Per Dawgs247 on who will get an official visit

“I know Georgia, Oklahoma, Nebraska, Ole Miss, and I will decide on that fifth one,” he said. "It will probably be USC or Miami, but I have not made up my mind yet.”

He just wants to go to the beach in December. It's a Big Ten / SEC battle.

Odd not giving UT an OV, maybe he figures that he'll be spending plenty of time on the Hill.

If he's smart he'll go in September October for SoCal beaches

I'm guessing that his visits up to Knoxville are close to OVs anyway. He already has a couple of options of people to stay with that he is close to. If he is as much a Vol as many are saying, then I am guessing that he wants to go on 5 visits to other places for the fun...of course, Otha was going to Arky for fun, too, and we know what happened there. Sure would like for UT to be his last OV.

not taking an OV is crazy.

I would be worried I if Im some of these guys claiming he is a Lock.

Next year, there will be two of his JUCO teammates on the Vol roster and his defensive coordinator will be here as well. I don't think anyone has any better ties to Johnson than Tennessee.

Now, Johnson is a 5 star guy that everyone wants so it's going to be a battle and everyone has known that.

Sorry - not a subscriber - all I could read.

Think he ends up a Vol but wish Georgia would fill up already. Sitting at 24 I think & may be taking 27 -28 from what I can gather.

Juco Toby Johnson likes UGA home appeal

Coming out of Banneker High School in College Park, Ga., Roderick "Toby" Johnson (Hutchinson, Kan./Hutchinson CC) had no offers
to play football at a major college program. Looking back, Johnson feels things could not have gone any better for him.

“I was raw and not ready to play major college football,” Johnson said. “I had only played for one year, so going juco was the best
thing that could have happened to me. I really got a lot of one-on-one coaching and I became faster, bigger and more physical.”

Last fall, Johnson recorded 44 tackles, 10 tackles for loss, two sacks, five passes broken up, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery
for the Blue Dragons. Now considered one of the most coveted juco prospects in the 2013 class, he has more than 20 offers from schools
across the country -- including Arkansas, Georgia, Mississippi State, Oklahoma, Miami (Fla.), Nebraska, Tennessee, Texas A&M, USC and
West Virginia -- and he feels Arizona State and FSU could be next to extend scholarships.

Said he has no favorites and would like to trim his list down by midseason and have a decision made by the seventh game of the season. Says there is about a 75% chance he signs with an sec school. Talked to Mark Richt for the first time who told him that they would have three players going to the NFL and one junior that could be going so he could play right away. Uga wants him to do some of the same things as John Jenkins. Also says he is a big family guy and likes the idea of being able to go back home.

Rusty said last nite that watch Bama when the offer comes. Said talking to some people close to TJ that Bama is the offer he's waiting on.

UGA is the only competition for TJ.
