'13 JUCO DT Ben Bradley (Auburn commmit)

BOOOOOOOOOOM!!!

Very very good get by our staff. He will add much need depth at the NT spot for '13. (McCullers, Bradley, Hood, Clark, Carson)

We could move Couch out to DE where he is better suited for '13.

Bradley is likely to end up a 4* once the JUCO's are ranked, he will be a EE w/ 2 years to play. Now we need him to lock up Toby Johnson for us & I think we'd be done w/ recruiting JUCO DL this year.

Would love for us to find a HS NT to be able to redshirt his Freshmen year.

Names of guys you think we have a shot at to fill this need and would be a solid+ pickup??

I've seen where he is on schedule to graduate in May 2013. Where do you see that he's an EE?

All 3 pay sites are saying he is on track to be a EE.

4 realz?

Played nose tackle as a freshman this past season for the Blue Dragons, posting 39 tackles, 5.5 tackles-for-loss and one sack.

Bradley is on pace to graduate in May of 2013 and will have three years to play two following the 2012 football season.

Ok so 2 of 3... I know there are always guys who "plan" on being an EE and end up not being one. CP planned on being here in May/June but now he's a 2nd termer. We shall see. Hopefully he is an EE.... not sure about graduating in Decemeber though.

Your right, it's way to early to tell who will be EE's or not. It will change a lot from now until mid-December.

Great get. This guy is good and will be solid. Being a Juco and 292 he could start immediately as a DE in the 3-4. Its smart to go out and get some guys in the front 7 that already have the build and experience to come in and play right away.

I'm pretty sure that he is supposed to be the NT in this class, not a DE type. Can anyone confirm?

we're doing a lot of JUCO recruiting...

I dont know how to feel about that, an overabundance reeks of desperation by a coaching staff and usually leads to a lot of High expectations:Huge Misses.

When you have a lack of depth at positions, the JUCO route could turn a weak unit into a solid unit or even a strenth quick... If our 2012 Juco class pans out this season people should stop the Dooley hatin'. I firmly believe it will translate into wins on the field. Also most Juco's are closer to being there from a strenth standpoint, once they adjust... than a 17-18 yr old straight out of high school... needless to say. I dont question much when it comes to UT's recruiting... I feel they are doing all they can to fix things in the most efficient manner possible. When we win 9-10 games this year (By-God) and end up in a New Years Day Bowl, we can start handpicking recruits like the good ol' days. Until then, keep them coming Dooley... I dig it. :clapping:

Edit: Starting to look like a Strenth on D, and an upper 3rd in the SEC D-Line...

Glad that we got this guy. Not only does he fill a huge need at NT, but he also widens our pipeline into Norcross. With 2 guys from there now in Knoxville, maybe it helps us a little with Kamara this class and Autry in 2014's class.

Thundervol55 asked Perroni (who evaluates JUCO's on Rivals) if he would evaluate Bradley and assign him a star rating. Perroni's response...

To be honest, I don't really remember him when I went to see Hutchinson in person because they had a bunch of really good 2012 guys. I haven't watched a ton of JUCO film yet as the Top 50 does not come out until late August.

I am only ranking guys as they commit so the team rankings can be accurate so I will watch as much Bailey film as I can find this weekend. I would imagine he would be a 5.7 or 5.8 though.

Hutchinson has at least 15 DI kids this year so I am definitely going to go see them in person again.

So Perroni has never seen any film on Bradley but already has an idea of his star ranking. Yet rivals claims to not base ratings on offer lists. Some real in depth evaluating going on over there. Maybe, just maybe, we should trust the coach's evaluations over guys like Perroni?
