'13 HI OG/DT Reeve Koehler

I don't agree with this one, but am willing to give CBJ the benefit of the doubt until these players actually play a college game, and we see the team CBJ puts on the field. He obviously has certain things he looks for in an olineman that Koehler does not possess. I was willing to give Dooley the benefit of the doubt until I saw the piss poor secondary he ran out there after passing on some dbs that have been successful elsewhere. I will say though it will be interesting to watch the numbers unfold. Seeing as 2 staffs have now had Weisman over Koehler I think he is definitely a take, but I still think with not taking any Olinemen last year we might be best served with a 5 person OL class that includes Koehler.

Do we have any actual confirmation that Jones doesn't want Koehler or is it all speculation? I haven't been following this thread closely.

Brett Kendricks brother confirmed through a text Brett received from him

Eh - I'll wait for something more solid than some guy who says he's the brother of another recruit before I form an opinion on this.

How about maybe they know more about this than you do........
How about....if the Coaches knew so much, and their evaluations/recruiting efforts were so infallible, then why are they not still coaching here? HHHMMMMM?

Are you saying Kffin knew something more than we did when he chose to run off Tahj Boyd, even though he had no other QB in hand and we SORELY needed one?! HHHHMMMM?

Are you saying Kffin and Chaney knew more than we did when they chose Matt Simms over Cam Newton? HHHHHHMMMM? Coaches make boneheaded mistakes sometimes, too, and they can be so bad that it's the difference between competing for a conference championship and a losing record...the same year.

Had they not screwed those evaluations up so badly, this team would have fared much, much better the past 3-4yrs.

I don't think he really chose Simms over Newton..

Hubbs said earlier that his offer hasn't been pulled and the staff reached out to him last night.

I do hope that is the case. I think this kid is a great player and would see alot of PT as a VOL. Do you know if the LB out in Hawaii was contacted as well? Yes, I want them both on this team.

Look at everyone else kiffin brought in and you will answer your own question......

Doubt they chose Simms over Cam. They knew the bidding war that was going on.

I misunderstood what Brett told me. He said coach mahoney told him that Koehler has been, or was going to be told to look around.
Brett texted Koehler wednesday night and asked him if he was still coming to UT. He said "dont know." He told Brett the other 2 schools he is most interested in are Kansas and Arkansas.
Sorry about the confusion.

Just curious bc I'm not familiar with football recruiting, but why would a coach tell a recruit that another recruit has been told to look around? Doesn't seem smart or professional.

It was not a coach telling another recruit, it was a recruit telling another recruit.
