I think people need to change their perspective on things when it comes to Vonn Bell. Yes, it's stung like a MF when he chose OSU, but how do you think Arizona State fans felt when they found out Dobbs broke his long-time commitment to come to UT. Or Cuse fans felt when Malik Brown decommitted and joined the Vols. Even more similar is the Marquez North situation, MN came here, and let down UNC, just like Vonn Bell just let down UT. Sometimes looking at things from another perspective will help the pain. Go Vols

I agree. If I were a parent and read what posters said about most recruits that did not choose UT, there's no way I would urge my child to attend this school. Because once someone doesn't choose the Vols, ppl on here get ugly. I was just as shocked by Von's announcement as anyone. But how extremely selfish is it to put yourself and your emotions above the person whose life it will impact the most!? It's sad that the majority of my few posts on here are to try and show that there are reasonable Vol fans on this site. Everyone on this site knows that anything published on the internet is pretty much accessible to anyone forever. People, please think of what you say and how that represents this university. I want to win just as bad as anyone, trust me! But all it takes is a few posts by some idiots to ruin the image of millions of Vol fans as a whole. I know this day is a very emotional one for us all, but Jesus, quit hating on these kids! They are kids! This is the most important decision of their lives so far. Their decisions are NOT a personal shot at you or I. It is what they believe is best for them. If someone questioned your decision, even dog cussed you, over something that you truly believe was best for you and your family, what would you say? Would that change your opinion of that person?
I believe in our coaches, our players, and the Vols, but not so much our fan base (meaning all the negativity on this site by the majority of posters).
To paraphase a Lincoln quote when refering to the USA, but that applies to our team "the only way we can fail, is if we fail from within."

18 year olds aren't the best at dealing with media and situations like this, he's just a kid. Believing he had some sort of conspiracy against Tennessee seems like a reach. Perhaps he felt Ohio State was loyal to him throughout the recruiting process, and he wants to win a championship? I'm not saying you guys can't win one the next four years..crazier things have happened, but if we're being practical Ohio State will play on a larger stage week in and week out than Tennessee the next year or two at the least. I'm sure if Tennessee was rattling off 9-10 win seasons and not grooming a new coach Vonn would have felt more comfortable with going to school there. But you're expecting him to pick a coach after only building a relationship with him for a few weeks? Over two of the best coaches in CFB? I just don't get it, it's one thing to tear apart a professional athlete from leaving your town (IE: LeBron James) but a high school kid is a completely different ballgame. Just don't understand. You don't understand. Watch his announcement. He told people in his community he would be a Vol. Now his mother will resign and go to work at OSU ? Hmm, his friends didn't even cheer for him today. There is more to this...... Stay tuned. I wouldn't be surprised if his brother ends up at OSU playing basketball. Not that he will see the court.
