Pessimists are ultimately cowards trying to avoid disappointment... and often make predicted disappointments self fulfilling prophecies.

Optimism can also be cowardly... by refusing to acknowledge things that point to bad outcomes.

Glad you made it in to set everyone straight.

Agree to both statements

I almost want Lawson as much as I want Bell but i think Bell's position is more of a need if I had to put one ahead of the other.

We already have Randolph, Moore, McNeil, Brewer, and Wilks, so we'll have one of the best safety duos in the country. Not saying I wouldn't love to have Bell, because I think he could potentially play corner, but Lawson's is more of a position of need.

Its about all we've done the last few years.

I was actually just making a play on words.

"Looser" mentality (meaning less worry, easy going) vs
"Loser" mentality, along with the fact that many posters use the word looser in place of loser.

Clearly did not go over that well.

Didn't catch that in your post. My apologies.

Pardon my going off-topic, but OSU moved on from Gibson supposedly because of grade issues. To my knowledge TENN's acceptance standards are just as high, would you guys really be able to take him if OSU couldn't academically? That's why I'd heard he had shifted to WVU in the first place (after saying OSU was his favorite for over a year).

Trey Johnson and his coach have confirmed post-TENN visit on a couple of occasions that he's still committed to OSU and plans to sign with OSU on NSD. He's decommitted from Auburn once, so nothing is 100%, but a switch at this point seems very unlikely. I wouldn't get my hopes too high on that one. Bell, on the other hand, will be 100% TENN imo.

Trying to catch up but this thread is moving too quickly. Did anyone figure out if Bell is visiting anywhere this weekend?

I dont think so. I think he shut down his recruitment yesterday officially. Staying home to think about decision.

Personally, I will be surprised if he is not a Vol on NSD.

I never heard anyone say "best in the country" when speaking of our safety's. Did you watch them play last year?

I'm hearing now that the Vols have a pretty good lead on Ohio State now and that pretty much everyone is on board for Tennessee in his family.

Sources from all three schools as well as others now feel he is Tennessee's to lose. Tennessee did a great job with the mom especially and this appears to be all Vols barring a change of mind at last minute.

He is not a silent commitment and never has been to my knowledge despite reports, but the tide has turned this past week after the visit and especially by mid week for sure. Also, contrary to rumors, Vonn nor his brother visited campus this weekend to my knowledge.

The key point here is that the other schools involved, especially Ohio State, are almost conceding he will be a Vol as I have good sources everywhere as you may or may not know.

I am officially changing my prediction on our national page to Tennessee.

M Farrell.
