So let me ask you a question: Pick a player you don't think we are getting and let's say you're right. Don't you still feel bad? I don't think my feelings would change so I'd rather have a little euphoria prior to it.

But that's just me.

I agree. I know we wont get Lawson. But it will still suck if he puts on a aub hat because I'd know it's over

I just really think we get/flip those guys. And that right there is a top 15 class. I think the biggest uncertainty is Boyd. If we can get Boyd and Gibson follows, then holy cow. I think Lawson will see that Auburn is not what it was.

The funny thing is pessimists always view themselves a 'realistic', but rarely are. I believe optimists tend to be very naive, but neither side can understand the medium location.

Me personally, I lean to the cautiously optimistic side because, let's be honest, it's a game and it's a nice escape from reality. I want my escape to be like a vacation, and I refuse to feel crappy on vacation. I just have to give myself some space at times when it it does get crappy, like this last season.

I'm really not a pessimist by nature. Just a pessimist about UT football for the last few years. Tired of seeing us suck, hopefully CBJ will get things turned around.

I actually hope that 202020 is Vonn and on signing day he reveals the greatest troll job in the history of this board after he commits to the Vols.

Then he signs off and says its time to get to work on the road to 7 and doesnt sign back on again.

Would be epic.

I almost want Lawson as much as I want Bell but i think Bell's position is more of a need if I had to put one ahead of the other.
