New 5-star on rivals. He is a 5-star on two sites 247 & rivals which basically is the nail in the coffin and confirms what we all knew.

With Herron, J.Ramsey, and V.Bell that is three 5-star recruits raised in the state of Tennessee.

I agree they run a higher risk. No one cant debate that. But the kids also run the risk of not developing like they should or getting the proper coaching. So it depends on which risk the kid is willing to take. Like i said in an earlier post, Bell would get good DB coaching at either program. All 3 have proven coaches in that area. So he should come out on top regardless of which school he chooses.

Your theory is just dumb. If Bell is now a 5 star because he is a silent commit to Alabama then why does Alabama only have (2) 5 star commits? Why weren't any of their other 4 star or 3 star recruits bumped up to 5 stars. Bell will likely end up at Alabama but that has absolutely nothing to do with him receiving a bump to 5 stars. The whole logic that if you go to Alabama you get rated higher is just ridiculous. In case you haven't noticed they have been winning NC's lately so their players must be good and not just artificially inflated by the recruiting services.

Probably something like....Bama is on a different level, Saban would be my coach, National Champions, yadda, yadda.

With how the visits have been going with Butch, I feel like Bell is going to be a Vol. Butch is going to show him and remind him why he loved the Vols in the first place. I'm excited to see a picture of Bell in that orange jersey!

Herron, Ramsey and Bell are 5*'s, right? And UT is not a lock to get even one - Bell. Yet, all we hear is how much worse the talent in TN is than other states as to why we don't recruit here. Really? Less than thirty 5*'s in the country and TN has three. Those type guys are difference makers. If you have 6 or 7 on a roster to go with a large group of 4*'s you have a top 10 team every year.

This is precisely why we have a roster like we have. Hopefully Jones can change this pattern. If not the next one needs to.

What the hell are you talking about? "What we all knew" mean everyone on Volnation considered him a true 5-star before rivals said it. It has nothing to do with Alabama. I personally don't think he is a silent commit. The logic is if 2 sites rank a player as a 4/5-star recruit then it "confirms" the ranking. Rather than being a 5-star on scout, 3-star on espn and 4-star on 247.

Yep - Tennessee talent is starting to get better. I keep reading that 2014 and 2015 have better talent in them than 2013.

Frustrating we missed so many this year, but sounds like Dooley burned too many bridges in-state. CBJ is clearly doing a better a job of establishing in-state relationships.

Long-term, the increase in Tennessee talent will only help us, no doubt.

The future is bright!

What ever happened to vol202020? Seeing as he actually was connected to Bell. I honestly wouldn't e surprised if he is Bell.
