If he really is a true Vol fan the game would have been over long ago.
Not really, he will shine where ever he goes if he is that good of a player.
I was thinking the same. If he's good he'll play wherever he goes and then get drafted. The proof for this is that there are so many great NFL players from no-name universities.
That statement is just dumb. The kid has to make a decision that impacts his future, and what exactly has UT done the past 3 years? He's looking at a whole new staff with no idea what they can do, compared to teams that are currently riding waves of success with coaches that are established. Which do you truly thinks offers a better showcase of his talents and helps him to advance to the NFL? Fanhood has nothing to do with his decision. It's all about his future, which it should be.
That said, I would love to see him as a Vol, but I'm not going to hate on him if he chooses a different team. People need to get over these young men making choices about their future and begrudging them for it. If a recent graduate has a choice between Harvard and UT, would you expect them to choose UT, even though a Harvard degree carries much more prestige and represents a potential higher earning average? People need to stop taking this so personal and start remembering these young men are making life-altering decisions.

No its not if u r a real fan there is one place you want to go and no way in hell i would ever consider bama r u kidding
I think I would wait till after the kid makes his decision to question his "fanhood". For all anyone knows he could have planned to pick UT all along. Don't call a guy out for something he has not done yet. I would also point out the ones saying he was a lifelong Vol fan are posters on this board. I would wait till a decision is made before I got so bent out of shape. JMO
He has been quoted countless times that he has said hes been a lifelong fan. Your opinion on this board is worthless. JMO
Has he picked Bama? Has he picked OSU? NO! And your spouting off at the mouth like he has. A recruit does not have to commit when the "fans" think he should. "If he was a true Vol he would have already committed". NSD is about a month away. THAT is when alot of kids choose to announce. Your opinion seems to be of the cry baby nature. Let me get you a tissue.

I never said he couldnt wait untill NSD. But i do question his fan hood if he waits that long. Baby nature? What the hell are you talking about? I think in a round about way you're calling me a whiner. If that's the case sure you can call me that. Your opinion on this board is still worthless. JMO
Being a life long fan can be overrated in this situation. The kid is 19 not 40, so its not like he has been a true fan for several years. I might say I love or have a crush on a woman but if she is unstable, I have to at least look at the other women that have their stuff together. just sayin.

Disagree...when i was 19-25 i was wayyyyyy more invested into college sports, music etc.
Today sitting in my mid-30's I have work to worry about, kids, family, wife, and a million different things to vow allegiances to.
At 18 who wins on Friday(HS) or Saturday(CFB) could ruin your entire next week...today i'm usually over it by Monday!
Lame attempt to put a spin on the situation to paint Bama as Bell's choice even though he has yet to announce.
How did that Liner thing go for you? Looks like he is staying at Auburn and pushing for others to come there as well. Keep trying slappy, maybe one of these days you will realize you're a fan of a team with no more inside info than the rest of us have.
I agree.
Did Austin Sanders give two craps about who the coach is or how special he was treated by the previous staff?????? Fff No!!!! The second that kid had an offer he committed. I've heard a lot of people say VB grew up a huge Vol fan, well it seems to me that he's a fair weather fan. I'll never know what it's like to play really good at football but I know one thing, if CUM or CNS asked me to play one snap for them I would laugh in their face and tell them I'm a VFL.
If this kid is a true VOL fan ill cheer him the rest of his life. If he's not then I will think of him as that kid who everyone thought was a true VOL fan.
