Hey, he brings good info to the board. TideWarrior is probably one of the best posters from a rival school.

The only part I can't believe Tide, is that someone would not show interest in Alabama! It seems ya'll get just about everybody you want.

It always seems like Alabama has about 40 spots a year, lol.

I wish, because if so C Lawson would be looking at UA and he has no interest and probably the same for M Adams who the staff is pushing hard for but UA is on the outside looking in for him.

C Lawson is a game changer in this class from day 1 and if UT pulls him it will be huge and seems UT has a great shot with him

If we can pull Lawson, Green and North, no matter how the rest of the class shakes out, it's a good class.

Getting Bell or anyone else of decent quality is simply a bonus.

We're also hearing Vonn Bell will officially visit on Jan. 25. I'll try and confirm with his coach tomorrow to make sure but that sounds like it's the plan as of tonight.

Since you fell to read that quote says they will try and get confirmation from his coach tommorow(Tuesday). The article was written yesterday(Monday). The quote I put on here today was from his HC today. Which goes with what that article said that they will find out on Tuesday.:hi:

Here's the thing man. You aren't helping anything with comments like these. I'm not saying you are right or wrong, just that you are NOT helping the University of TN at all, and are possibly hurting it. Everyone needs to learn that even if you disagree with what someone is saying on here, even if you think they are trolling, that doesn't mean that you have to call them out. Just Ignore them. It's that easy. Because what if they aren't trolling? Well then you've pissed of someone who knows and talks to the recruit, or possibly the recruits themselves. It just doesn't help anything.

What is the MOST that you could gain from arguing over it on the internet? To prove that you are right. And what does that really mean? Nothing.

Who's they? His HS coach? As if 'they' are going to be 100% transparent so Tidewarrior message board poster has up to date information. Fortenberry is legit and so are his sources. So I will go with the guy with a track record over an anonymous post you pulled from another website.

Yes numbers are tight but if UA passed on anyone it would have been Ramsey. And not because UA did not want him because Ramsey is showing no interest in UA or anyone really other than USC right now.

It is crunch time for schools. Have to take who wants to come on board or miss all together. Ramsey had a firm offer and spot but did not show interest and the UA staff jumped at Cook who did. A staff has to look at the kids that want to be there this late in the game.

You'll be more than fine with Cook. He's probably the most athletic CB I've seen Saban pull in at Bama. Has young Corey Webster type of potential. Good pick-up :salute:

We need a big time recruit to pull the trigger for the good guys. We are down to 40 in Rivals and need some positive recruiting news. Regardless of what anyone thinks of Rivals the fact is kids do look at these rankings. I still think we end up with a top 20 class but we need to start making a move soon.

Didn't Bell's HS coach say a few weeks ago that Vonn had already made up his mind and knew where he was going? That would have been before CBJ was even hired so I highly doubt at that time he was thinking Tennessee. Maybe things have changed since then.

GL I don't know where Bell is headed but I sure hope we land him. That said, I think it bodes well for us that Bama has taken another db. I think it comes down to OSU and UT. I think Bama getting the tween visit says a lot.

I just offered what I did know of this one particular time I do have credible info. Go back and read my posts in this thread and then you will understand why I said what I said. And for the record I was not bashing the coaches only questioning why go to the dome if you didn't have contact with anyone.

You claimed to know that the coaches did not have contact with Bell via "sources". You do realize there were HUNDREDS of other possible recruits there right? IF UT's staff did not choose to make contact with Bell, they could have been there to see any number of other kids. The Norcross game would be a good example.

I wasn't questioning any of that, merely warning of how you present yourself. You will turn a lot of people off with vulgar name-calling, and present yourself as petty and childish, as opposed to someone who should be taken seriously. (Not to mention any infractions incurred from breaking VolNation terms of use policy.)

Either way, no big deal as far as I am concerned. Consider it a public service announcement that you didn't ask for.

I get the impression that his HS coach wants to build relationships with the new UT staff and would like to give CBJ a fair shot at Bell. I think I read there was not any relationship really prior.

IMO... Every grown man on here who argues/insults like high school kids is a jack ass. This is a TENNESSEE VOLS f'n site... Would it not make sense for me and others to assume that most of us are Vol fans?? So can you guys get it through your heads that we need unity and some are dead set to hold strong in there negative ways. I get that it takes all kinds but give it a damn rest for your karma or something you believe in bc whatever negative bs you decide to throw out will come back to you later in life...peace
