'13 GA RB Tyren Jones

Yeah, I agree with you. Those two sound promising. Dye's coming up for Junior Day, and we all know about Kamara's link to Croom. I'd say those will be our top two targets moving forward. But I'd also keep an eye out on Grayson from NC, as well as some of the Florida backs. A lot of good backs in that state this year. Probably too many for UF, FSU, and soon-to-be sanctioned Miami to handle. Also, it will be interesting to see if we try to get in the mix with the Mizzell kid out of Virginia. I think Green ends up looking elsewhere (most likely OSU), but that's just my uneducated guess.

I really don't think the Grayson kid is on these other backs level. Kamara could end up the best back in this class. Being that fast at close to 200lbs(weighed in at 198lbs at Fla. Junior Day) is hell. Running like that at around 210 will be fun. Especially in our offense with the passing game we have. Now if we could add a guy like Dye to the mix and we're getting back to winning games by running the ball. Add in Peterman's wheels and arm that would be a fun backfield. Then Bourque being the big slasher. Also if they were to come by the 2014 season all of them would have experience. And Lane would be a senior and probably a dominant back.

Really hope we can land some LBs to stop these backs Bama is getting though.

I am waiting, where is our resident UGA fan. I am sure he will say UGA cooled on him, or my favorite they are still in great shape with him and that NSD is a long way off. Sorry could not resist.

The best part for me is that Jones said the same thing last noght that Tenpenny did when he commited last month. That Saban told them both we wanted to sign 3 RBs this class. I can not wait to see who is next, especially neither of those 2 had an issue with it.

As long as it's not Dye or Kamara. I want one of them.

Haha, I'll gladly take both. But in my experience of following recruiting, and where UT is right now as a team, it's rare to get two elite backs in one class. Unless, of course, you're Alabubba.

Missing out on Jones really hurts. We're screwed at the RB position.

Oh brother.

I think you will be ok. Haha. Y'all have three possible studs on your roster already. And Henry committed. Y'all are maybe behind bama and lsu in quality RB depth in the sec

No sympathy for you here

Not sure if serious...

Missing on Tyren is a surprise, but we are hardly screwed at the RB position. In fact, our recent additions to depth, along with Henry's commit, is a big part of why Jones went away from UGA.

Still plenty of good solid prospects left out there, we will be fine.

This definitely turns up the heat on Alvin and probably Dye too. He was offered at LB, but I have a feeling that may change now. Kamara is definitely the #1, have heard some whispers that Dye might have some issues qualifying.

He didn't go to uga because of depth and decided for bama instead? Right...

UGA has 2 5* RBs one and two years ahead of him, a high 4* a year ahead, and a 5* already committed in the same class.

Bama has Lacy, who will be gone or a Sr.; Fowler, who is a FB; Drake, who is a WR; Hart, coming off a blown knee; Yeldon, will be a beast; and Tenpenny, also coming off a blown knee.

Those are the guys of consequence other than maybe Boo Malcome for UGA. Considering that all UGA's guys are young and Bama's are injury riddled...yeah I think depth had a lot to do with it.

TBH, even if everyone were healthy, Hart and Yeldon are still the only guys on Bama's roster I would expect would worry Jones.

I am not saying he is scared of competition, I am saying he made a good choice. He will likely see the field sooner and more often at Bama.

That's a fun game to play. Crowell didn't make it through his freshman season without limping off the field nearly every game so who is to say he will be around all season. Every other rb you talked about hasn't touched a football in college. Uga got beat for him, that's all.

The delusion is strong in this one.

Who's to say Crowell will be around at all? Dude needs to straighten himself out or he will end up dismissed from the team.

UGA fans can break down the situation all they want in regards to Tyren. At the end of the day, UGA missed on Jones, and it hurts.

The same could be said for any in-state recruit UT is going after. The one that comes to mind is Elder. If we miss on him, it will hurt.

Agree. UGA's got some nice players at RB, but they don't really know if any will pan out. It's not like they have proven performers. Crowell's as likely as not to get kicked off the team.

You're not deeper than Bama at RB man. Saban is going to mail Richt his ass back with the way he's taking what he wants from Georgia.

It's not like NSD is a month away.. we have other targets and one of the best backs in the country committed and recruiting for us. As much as you guys want it, Crowell is nowhere close to being off the team.

Not worried at all
