'13 GA RB Peyton Barber

"It went pretty good," he said. "I definitely enjoyed my time when I was there. I would pretty much have to say the stadium stood out. I liked that. I didn't think it would be that big and that nice. They have really nice facilities. They're definitely state of the art. It was a good visit. I learned a lot of things I didn't know about Tennessee."

Did the Volunteers help themselves?

"Yes, they did … they did," he said.

That said, Barber maintained he still is committed to the Rebels. He added that Auburn, Tennessee, Texas and UCLA were all in the mix, with none having emerged as the single clear-cut threat to Ole Miss.

From 247.

Also, his mom is a UT Alum and he is visiting Texas next week.

Hard to read the kid from that article. He definitely liked the facilities it appears. I wanted to hear him comment more about the coaching staff and possibly playing with Carl. Maybe he wants to be even tempered until his visits are done. We'll see after the Texas visit.

Some kids play it close when it comes to recruiting some don't. He probably just answered the questions asked of him and didn't really give any additional info. All we can do is hope the coaches did what they could to convince him that UT is where he needs to be.

if i remember correctly, hes visiting auburn this weekend. hopefully him and lawson decide to talk about going to UT together and join their friend jenkins

Wow I didn't know he was going to visit auburn. That stinks . Man I hope auburn sucks this weekend and the one after that. Thanks for the info.

Good news.

I said this last night. It won't hurt my feelings if green announces for auburn. That would eliminate barber to them IMO and I worry about lawson and he on that visit together.

Hopefully Wilkins goes ahead and commits to Ole Miss soon.

Barber-65%

Ford-55%

Green-25%

If we miss on Green, we REALLY need Barber. I like Ford, but we have several backs like him on campus. Of course he could prove to be the best of the bunch over time. I just want to see us land a bigger back.
