'13 GA QB Josh Dobbs (UT signee)

Alot of walk ons who ended up on scholarship and played alot of ball at UT might argue that. Charlie High could be the starting QB at Tennessee in 2 years. No way in the world can KNOW he will never make it off the practice field.

I'll give you five minutes to name three starting Qb's who were successful who were Walk ons at any schools. I don't know of any modern Qb's maybe Wilson

I don't think anyone has downgraded or bashed Josh at all.

All I'm saying is nobody has said anything negative regarding Riley, why not just get on board with Dobbs being a Vol if he decides to be? And overall, what do you care more about? Bettering Tennessee's football team, or going along with some promise made by our previous staff? A staff which didn't make the best decisions regarding recruiting, if I might add. Bringing in Dobbs only betters our team, that's the point I'm trying to make. Like I said, Riley is great QB prospect, and if we only end with him then ill be happy. But bringing along Dobbs would be a very nice surprise, that just might pay dividends down the road.

I have no desire to look for any. I view QB like any other position. If the walk on shows he can play, there is a great chance he does just that. Charlie's passing numbers speak for themselves. He has alot of talent. Would not be shocked at all if he played QB at some point for UT.

I'm happy and glad for Charlie High getting a shot to walk-on as a Vol, but to think he'll ever see the field over 3 possibly 4(If we add Dobbs)fairly high rated scholarship QB's is pretty laughable at best. He can ball no doubt, but there's a reason he's a walk-on.

Click on the links you provided and look at their HS stats. Then look at Charlie Highs. Your attempt to humor was weak at best.

Yeah, since great stats at one level mean anything at the next level. If that was the case players like Kliff Kingsbury and Colt Brennan would have had successful NFL careers

You guys attempt to make a walk-on QB a gameday contributor is not exactly a strong argument.

He was saying that has a shot, so why doesn't the other walk-ons by his logic? Really isn't even a discussion. High's stats amounted to how many major offers again? I'm not knocking the kid, but just you may know/ seen a kid play, doesn't make him an SEC QB.
