Sure sounds like the coach is getting "something" for this one. Just seems awfully fishy...why is a Georgia coach pushing Ohio State? Maybe the coach is a Dawg fan and doesn't want Trey at a rival school.

Who knows, but I don't think Trey is letting his coach dictate his visits. He clearly "disobeyed" him by visiting UT in secret, which is huge. We need LB's like this in our class every year.

Yeah, we definitely could use Trey and EJ!! Hope we can pull at least one of them...would love both, but just being realistic.

Johnson's father downplayed the visit ($), telling ESPN that his son took the trip to to "hang out" and "talk football."

"We're hearing the trip caught Ohio State's staff off guard, but they do have an in-home visit lined up with Johnson on Tuesday, so they'll get their chance to firm up the commitment".


Yup, sounds like a rock solid commitment. IMO, we have a chance here.

The point here is not whether or not we have a chance. He hasn't signed yet so there's no ink. He visited. We have a chance. The question is can the staff coax the smoke enough to spark a larger flame, to use an analogy. I have faith in them.

I followed your post many years ago following recruiting, I vouch for nblick he is just telling it how he sees it. He is a buckeye but has tennessee ties. You don't know me I just remember your story from years back. My grandfather lived in ohio, he was a buckeye fan he tried to convert me but my blood was orange. I have 2nd cousins that live outside of columbus and canton, they are diehard buckeyes. I still mess with them out the citrus bowl and the stop on eddie george, it was a great game. Anyway, hope your right on Bell but somehow we get Johnson but either way thanks for the info and if your right I can live with that.

Farrell's information is coming from Trey's coach, not Trey. His coach, as has been stated, wants Trey at Ohio State. Not saying he is flipping, but he wasn't the one to talk to Farrell.

For future info on any recruits we compete against, ignore all tOSU sites/forums other than elevenwarriors.com. those insiders talk directly with the recruits/families/coaches, the rest are just typical internet garbage rumors.

My fathers family is from East Cleveland, actually all 3 of my sisters were born in EC. Fam moved south before i was born. I do have a close cousin in Newark. Usually go to Ohio once a year.

I'm getting the impression that Trey's coach is strongly for OSU while Trey himself has UT in the picture as well. Since Trey's coach is supposed to be so hot for OSU, could it be that CUM established a relationship while recruiting at UF?
