Ain't nobody in prison for maryjane possession. Some have spend a night or two in jail, but not in prison. Probably not many in for dealing just it. Plenty of them in for dealing it along with other illegal drugs. Which is kind of the point.
Mind altering substances are not good. Don't mean folks won't use them or that they can't be made legal. However, just because something is legal doesn't make it good or the right thing to do.
Legalized "Medical" maryjane is just a method to skirt around the federal laws to encourage folks to be more accepting of it. Smoking clearly causes cancer - but that's OK as long as you can get high. Give me a break.
Cigarettes cause cancer because of the carcinogens in them, they aren't natural. Weed causes as much cancer as the food you eat
I worked in an industrial job for almost 40 years and dealt with many workers that were in the process of losing their jobs because of drug use. Most all of them had moved on to harder drugs than weed. Every one (that's 100%) that I talked to had started out on
weed and moved to something stronger. Even those that claimed they were using pain killers because of back or other problems started out on weed. Many of them lost their jobs because they couldn't stop using. At least one that I remember died from using the
hard drugs. Many of them lost their families and most didn't seem to care. My opinion from trying to help these people for almost 40 years is that it should not be legalized.
Now let's get back to football! Go Vols!
