Jalen was considering UT, as recently as 4weeks ago. The reason he took us out of the running was stupid fans name calling and not letting things play out. Now you are tweeting a kid that is still has the vols in his top 3 with some baby back BS.
Let this play out, let the kid enjoy the recruiting process. When you say stupid things to a kid while they are still comming down from a visit, it makes the good stuff they just experienced stand out, and makes UT look petty.

Go ahead, keep it up .. then blame it all on the coach.. yell fire him. Then we can start this whole crazy process over again.

You reprimand someone directly and it doesn't matter whether you're dumb or not, the instinctual reaction is anger and defensiveness.

I Live in a gated apt complex. Yesterday, as I was coming in, somebody stopped in the gate and got out of their car and started dog cussing the person behind them for something that must have happened on the main road. The person in the car getting *****ed at gave him a nice long stream of what I gather from his reaction was pepper spray.

Some actions have predictable negative consequences and little or no positive payoffs. It's better to let these things go.

I'm cursed with being the kind of person that tries to look at things from every angle and yeh sometimes, my last thought contradicts my previous one to some degree. At the end of the day I definitely believe people need to cool down and not be so confrontational when someone does or says something bone headed. This exact reason is why I don't post on Twitter. You can't undo something sent over the internet.

You got bashed for tweeting negativity at recruits we are actively recruiting. At this stage in the game anything can impact a fickle 18 year olds decision and you twitter idiots are certainly a factor we don't need.

I try to be the same way when I can.

Not sure if I posted it but at some point tonight I know I thought about how grateful I am that twitter wasn't around when I was 18. I still say dumb crap all the time but if there existed a permanent record of all the dumb crap I've said... Yeesh.

few pages back. goateric14berry tweeted to the kid that he was being disrespectful to UT with comments. people flipped out about that. kid responded he was just joking, saying how many coaches he is talking to.

You're sweating this too much. You do something stupid ( and what you did was, in fact, stupid), and ppl here will burn you alive. You either shrug it off or don't use the forums again. The latter is the better choice, but once you get hooked on talking about sh*t you have no real effect on with complete strangers that you don't really give a damn what their opinion of you is, it's hard to quit. Get thicker skin and don't react instantly to things that piss you off. Just my2c
