It probably looks just as bad to see our posters constantly slashing at each other's throats for every difference of opinion. Either way it looks like a bunch of mouth breathers.

VN's recruiting forum being so comprehensive and large is both a blessing and a curse. There's nowhere else like it.

This whole situation escalated from him having fun in Athens, to derps tweeted him mean things. Our fanbase is one of the best, but that bottom 1 percentile is just frustrating. Thanks to all the guys that actually represent our fanbase well :lol:

Hopefully this didn't turn Davin completely off from our program...

If we lose a recruit because of a few disgruntled twitter comments, he never wanted to go here at all.

Not true. I heard 20+ Vol fans said pretty hurtful things to Davin via twitter because that article made it seem like we were a joke, but in reality he just made a joke at no one's expense. If I was him I would be mad. Although if I was him I would also already be a Vol :)

These kids make decisions on emotions sometimes. Not every 18 year old can look at things rationally from a neutral standpoint and pick the best college for them, they pick by which campus has hot chicks and cool parties or where their friend is going. Sometimes they even go to schools for $ or a car :lol:

Oh I hear ya, but that's the kind of prospects that have put us back the past few years. Kiffin's class for example. He also should understand why those ppl overreacted too. Most of them are likely students about the same age.

You should be ashamed of yourself and your derogatory post toward young recruits just trying to find the best school that meets their needs both on and off the field.

This cuts against your last post, IMO. Ppl looking in here can tell its a bunch of morons who need a hobby.

You reprimand someone directly and it doesn't matter whether you're dumb or not, the instinctual reaction is anger and defensiveness.

I Live in a gated apt complex. Yesterday, as I was coming in, somebody stopped in the gate and got out of their car and started dog cussing the person behind them for something that must have happened on the main road. The person in the car getting *****ed at gave him a nice long stream of what I gather from his reaction was pepper spray.

Some actions have predictable negative consequences and little or no positive payoffs. It's better to let these things go.

True, but it is NEVER a good idea to tweet a recruit mean things while promoting a specific university (wearing a hat, shirt, jacket, etc with a logo on it). Nothing good can happen.

I can't believe this happened tonight though. It's kind of sad to know people thought that was okay in any fashion. To be mad is one thing, but to tweet him is out of line.

In any way I hope he overlooks this and becomes a Vol. He said he was announcing this Tuesday? Or was it next Tuesday?
