In the few interviews Lawson has done he talks about picking a school over a coaching staff. He seems to have had his heart broken with the the firing of all of Auburns staff. I think the fact that Lawson fell in love with Tennessee's facilities will play a big part in his choice. He is a student of the game, and he knows the place where he can advance his talents to "1st round" level.
Other than Fairly, what DL have AU put in the first round? Legit question, not trying to call you out.

Looks like none in the first round, but who have we had that's still playing drafted in the first round, Robert Ayers? Seems like Fairley > Ayers as far as NFL production.

His position coach at at UT is better than at Auburn.. Stripling is a film junkie and student of the game like Lawson.. I think this will play a big roll here..
I like our chances..
I just think its funny when people act like TN offers some unique opportunity to be an elite NFL prospect when compared to other SEC schools. Yes TN has great tradition and brand new state of the art facilities but so does over half of the conference. If the kid is good an works hard he will get noticed pretty much anywhere.
I'm not trying to be a negative nancy or make any prediction about where Lawson ends up. I like our chances but this last OV is going to be hard to overcome.

Name me another Sec school who can claim Top offensives player in the NFL of alltime- Peyton manning (argubaly when all is said and done) Jason Witten ( argubaly of alltime if he keeps current production for a few more years). Top defensive player of alltime- Reggie White. I would have to bet no one in the SEC could boast what UT can about what former players have accomplished in the NFL PERIOD! Can anyone explain Why! Its really fantastic IF you think about it and YOUR a Tennessee fan.
I think it was nothing more than respect of where his dad went to school and so he could have another hat on the table. Imo jmo tifwiwAny chance the meeting at Tech was to get some additional answers or concerns about Auburn addressed by the ex-coach? He would certainly offer a different perspective than anyone else presently involved in CL's recruitment...
I agree with you but discussing that now is not helping. We want them to believe that this is the best/only choiceI'm not trying to be a negative nancy or make any prediction about where Lawson ends up. I like our chances but this last OV is going to be hard to overcome.
