'13 GA DE Carl Lawson (Auburn commit)

So Carl doesn't like big cities and lots of concrete, but now GT is a player for him? Knoxville is too big, but Atlanta is juuusust right.

im sure GA Tech gave him plenty of reasons to not go to AU... esp since the DL coach is a former AU coach

I am surprised Lawson doesn't have more interest in GA Tech. His dad played there, it is extremely close to his home and when he committed to Auburn the coach he loved was Coach Pelton. This is a quote from his commitment.

"I love the way Coach Pelton works his guys during practice, and I love how they are going to use me in their defense". - Rivals 3/24/2012

If Carl wants to see more green. UT is an amazing place.
He has the Tennessee river, tons of parks nearby (someone needs to take him ASAP), and the Great Smokey Mountains are close enough if he just wants to get away for a while.
The view of the plains doesn't hold a candle to the lakes, mountains streams, and forests of the smokies. Not to mention the beautiful Tennessee river running alongside the stadium. He just got the campus concrete tour!
We need to give him a better tour of the area. Knoxville area is God's country! I miss it dearly!

You and me both...some folks don't know how good they've got it.

Omoregie Uzzi was a GA Tech recruit in 2008.

is this the same "Uzzi"?

Interesting...the "91" in Uzzi91 could be his year of birth, which would make him 17 years old in 2008, the year he would most likely be a senior and be recruited. I wonder if Lawson's personal trainer at Sportsorama in Marietta is Uzzi?? Calling BuckVol1...what is the last name of your son's personal trainer?

Uzzi is a strange name to just randomly come up with for a screen name..

"Honestly my gut is saying AU, but that's probably just because I don't want to be disappointed next week. Looking back at it all, UT was leading for a while and has done everything right since Jones came in.

Carl is such a once in 5-10 years player, it would hurt not getting him."
-Uzzi

^^^^^This. There isn't a Carl Lawson DE every year.

For some reason I get less and less optimistic about Lawson as each day passes. Hopefully we can land him.

I felt the same way about North a couple days ago, and now boom, he is ours. Hopefully it will be the same results with Lawson.

BTW, who liked this that quote?
