For some reason I'm real worried about Clemson. I know a couple of his teammates that are committed to Wake and they were excited about something to do with him last night on twitter. Maybe about the opportunity to play against him in the ACC. I don't see why he'd chose the ACC over the SEC though. Then again, Clemson is known for pulling some big D Ends.
I guess he could pick Clemson but do you think they are really a legitimate threat now that his good friend Jenkins has flipped & is solid to UT? If Jenkins was solid to Clemson it may be a different story but he's not. It's a UT/AU battle only imo & I think he's all Vol
Cliffs from AU Rivals -
- Lawson will be joined by his father, mother, uncle, two step-brothers and his speed and agility coach on the trip.
- "We are looking forward to meeting the academic staff, the whole feel," Lawson Sr. said. "We want Carl to have a good opportunity and we wanted him treated fairly. We don't want anything special, we just want him to be able to make the best decision that will impact him the next four years.
- "It's about the community. He wants to identify with the community that he's going to be a part of. That's what Carl is looking for, a place where if he decided he didn't want to play football, he could live there."
- Auburn visited Lawson on Monday night, as defensive coordinator Ellis Johnson and defensive line coach Rodney Garner checked in. "The visit went well. Coach Johnson is distinguished -- a genius I guess," Lawson Sr. said. "Or if not a genius, then he's a defensive savant."
- "He's never decommitted from Auburn, there's a reason for that."
- The plan is for Lawson and his family to visit Auburn this weekend, return home, and have a final decision on Monday. There will be no signing day announcement, no hat tricks. Lawson Sr. said they will make their decision and call the coaches to inform them on Monday.
- "We plan on making a 100 percent, absolute decision, and that will be it," Lawson Sr. said. "We won't do any press conferences. This weekend is due diligence and hopefully, a final wrap-up."

Just curious, has Lawson Jr ever made a statement? EVERYTHING I read it seems his dad does all the talking. Maybe Jr is looking for the best opportunity, but it sure looks like dad is running this show. JMO
As in something they have to due before he commits to UT........
