To me this is huge news. I think CBJ wants to have it all release at once. This coach has been playing it right.

If the Bell rumors are true it would be amazing to have he and Carl out on the field together !!!
Definitely would make for the start of a mean D- unit !!!

Poster asked what Lawson thinks of Butch, Stripling and Jancek..

"He likes Jones, calls him Mafia man due to his voice...

Had a great time with Stripling, they talked shop for hours. He loves the fact that Stripling used shorter DE in the past.

He thought the D cord was ok, his initial complaint was that he did not talk shop with him. That guy is not a very dynamic personality but he said he liked him on the visit.

Overall he is very happy with the staff."

Talk about their craft. In Lawson's case, being a great DE. Discussing technique and how to alway improve, etc. He's a gym rat to use a term from basketball.

I love hearing what he had to say about Stripling. His would be position coach loves talking shop, just like Lawson. Huge.

Lots of things have changed in the off-season-- including an almost entirely new staff of recruiters, new facilities completion, etc... These quantifiable changes have much more bearing on our recruiting success than luck, chance, voodoo or mumbo jumbo.

Pick your chin up and hope a little bit, my fellow Vol fan. Leave the five years behind us and hope for the best from the changes we've made. Live in the sun a little...
