This is my opinion formed on things I have heard over the years. CRG is an excellent recruiter and always has been. Was outstanding when at UT as well.

However, and I think this is important to CL, he has not been considered a good DL coach. He is a recruiting monster. This is the reason he is on a college staff.

CL loved breaking down the film and being a master of his craft the same as Tiny. That is a comment he made. Gardner is not really going to help him with that.

He does not need to go to Auburn for this reason alone. He does not need RG as his d line coach to get the most out of him.

Somebody needs to let Carl know that once he signs with UT manning will probably give him his number.

Sign with somebody else and the only time he'll ever talk to PM will be in 3 years when Manning sidesteps the bull rush and slings a game winning TD, looks at Carl and says "if you had gone to UT, film guy would have taught you how that trick."

Wow, I am impressed with this young man. He's a very humble young man. I hope UT is lucky enough to get him.

In the AJC article, Lawson's dad says the relationship with Garner is "a work in progress."

I really think this might be between UT and Clemson. I don't think Lawson is gonna be able to trust Garner.

Do we have an in-home with Lawson?

Gosh I want this kid so bad. Even if he disd not have much talent, the head on his shoulders would make him a take. The talent is just icing on the cake.

Everything I read about this kid makes me hope he's a Vol more and more. He's one of those recruits that I will probably watch no matter where he goes. I hope UT and its fans are lucky enough to get him to Knoxville.

I wish more recruits were like him. Seems like he has a chance to be the next Reggie White in more than one way.

this guy is all business. he seems to be the type that will live in the gym and film room. thats why i think our facilities win this kid. it is important to him.
