'13 GA DE Carl Lawson (Auburn commit)

All I can say is that Peyton better be in Knox this weekend. Peyton is Lawson's favorite player.

I keep reading this but where did it come from? Not saying it isn't true but I have tried and tried to find proof of this and I can't. Urban legendsor truth? Doesn't matter either way just curious.

Try the fifth post in this thread.

Thursday, Thigpen was with Carl Lawson as Tennessee continues to be very much in the thick of it for Lawson. But, Lawson continues to remain low key and he's hard to read. What is clear is that Auburn is back in it with the five-star prospect after thought to be on the outside looking in. This is a huge weekend for the Vols as they try to impress Lawson.

The situation at UNC just got worse. A former assistant dean of students says she was pressured to under-report the number of sexual assaults reported on campus. When she didn't, they cut the number without her knowing.

I would think this news could impact Lawson's plan to visit UNC and cause North to think twice about his UNC interest.

The Daily Tar Heel :: Complaint: UNC pressured dean to underreport sexual assault cases

For a school with such a great reputation, there sure is a lot of crap that goes on there.

From MFarrell at Rivals -

Five-stars Carl Lawson from Alpharetta (Ga.) Milton and Montravius Adams from Vienna (Ga.) Dooly County visited Clemson last weekend but neither committed. Not that commitments were expected, but you had to know Clemson made a strong pitch.

This appears to be a battle between Clemson, Auburn, Tennessee and perhaps Ole Miss for Lawson, and Clemson and Georgia for Adams.

Others could still enter the fray for both and you can never count out Alabama for Adams with a big visit coming this weekend, or Auburn with his previous relationship with Rodney Garner.

If the Tigers don't come away with one of the two, it will be a disappointment. If they come away with both, it's clearly a home run. Right now they lead for Adams, according to a good source but Lawson is wide open even after a good visit and still remains a soft commitment to Auburn.

Thanks for bringing good info to an already great board!

It can help when talking about the same position, less competition for playing time.

No. Not when neither one is on campus yet. Lawson is worried about his team being good, not who we recruit at his position. We need more than just one impact DE.
