Gaining confidence. Hopefully he has a great visit and sees all that he needs to see. The article also said he is tentatively scheduled to see Auburn Jan. 25, so maybe he doesn't go.

I think liner decommitting when he did and everything starting to point to Foster not ending up at AU may the whole Lawson to UT a reality. He could end up elsewhere but he liked UT in summer, his trainer is a former UT alum and player, and the timing of Liner and Foster movements make this weekend for Lawson huge.

UT could not ask for a better situation coming into the visit. The planets are aligned and now it is CBJ and staff time to seal the deal. I agree with someone else that posted above that I could see Lawson give a verbal to the UT staff this weekend.

This would give us some momentum down the home stretch for sure.

Wow, that is a huge statement. Hope you are right about the Clowney comparison..... unless he chooses Auburn.

Holder (another long time poster on VQ who's close to the Lawson situation) posted this today in response to the AJC article...

I think the Vols' staff is doing this right. Thigpen is a long-time acquaintance or friend of Carl, Sr. He will be in there on Thursday. Then you will have Carl in Knoxville on Friday to Sunday and I would not be surprised if Jones uses his in-home next week shortly after Carl returns from UT to try to wrap this one up and get him to cancel that planned Auburn visit. This is looking like a UT/Auburn battle.

Dad already has the comfort level with UT and Thigpen makes that even better. Now we just need Junior to get that comfort level -- having Jenkins there next weekend should help.

There are people on here that love to rip any positive info. So I think both holder and I decided to stop sharing anything positive and just let it play out. Next to Carl's dad nobody knows more about his recruitment then us but this board is full of haters so we will just leave it at that.

Too bad, people can't just take information and accept it or not accept it and move on.

I hate when probing type posters who are looking for who knows what runs these types of posters off and ruins it for those of us who like to hear additional information when it's available.

And its always the same few who do it. Why say anything. If you don't want to believe it fine but don't ruin it for those of us who appreciate any info we can get about a certain recruit.
