'13 GA DE Carl Lawson (Auburn commit)

Not a real game. Not real results. He's got plenty of game tape from games that are actually played with an intent to win.

He's a stud.

You do speak the truth that he didn't have much to play for. I guess that is what I get for assuming... How do you feel about him compared to Robert Nkemdiche? slightly lower or on the same level? do you have a link to Lawson's film I can't seem to find it?

They are different types of players. I think Lawson is a better pure pass rusher whereas Nkem is the better all around DE who can both rush the passer and stop the run.

You think Malzhan is an upgrade from Chizik? I kinda figured they were interchangeable.

Chizik looked lost without Malzhan. Yeah, Newton was the difference but Malzhan is one hell of an offensive mind. Yet to be determined if it will translate to good head coach at Auburn.

Malzhan was a good OC, I agree. I don't see things turning out much different for them though. You put most any other qb short of Boyd/Manziel/RG3 on that NC squad and they lose 3 or 4 games most likely.

Cam had the greatest season ever in college football history besides Barry Sanders Heisman year.

So Lawson was scheduled to visit here with no friends while some of his buddies went to Clemson's big recruiting weekend. Then he was going to visit Clemson while some of his buddies came here on what is shaping up to be a big weekend for us. So he flipped the visits. Why are people upset about this. Seems to me like he got his schedule fixed so he could get the best experience from both schools.

Anybody know what the ESPN Insider article is about? All it states is that he had chosen his first official. Anything else and whom is it?

Keep in mind, Auburn has recruited very well the past few years regardless what the record has been. And their QBs who looked completely lost last yr were recruited to play in Malzaun's offense...not the pro style offense that Chizick ATTEMPTED to switch to. Don't be surprised if Auburn is a relatively decent football team this season.
