'13 GA DE Carl Lawson (Auburn commit)

Nkem isn't going to Clemson. Likely Ole Miss, but Lsu is another possibility. Ole Miss is selling to Lawson that he can play beside Nkem. Which is why they could have an edge.Lawson is probably Clemson or UT.

How long has his teammate been committed to Ole Miss, and why is it all of a sudden waying so deeply on his decisions?

Because he is a teenager. It happens. Want him here bad, but really......he's going to make his decision based off of what he is thinking or feeling at any given moment. Not meaning that in a bad way either. He's a teenager. Give the kid a break. If he is as good as advertised, he will play in the NFL one day, regardless of the school he plays for.

It's the AJC, bro. Not exactly the most reliable source, and the guy admitted that he has no evidence. He's just guessing.

He is just guessing but there are plenty of quotes out there that could suggest he doesn't like this process and might want to get it over with.

I got slammed for being a little skeptical of him not visiting this weekend by many of you guys but first Uzzi and now this suggest this weekend is certainly worth watching.

Dang Farrell is a douche ..first north now lawson

Yeah well, he has us leading for Koehler and by all accounts we are on the outside looking in on that one. Maybe what he is reporting is the opposite of what the case really is. We have an official with Lawson on the 18th, so I feel pretty good about where we stand.

Why do folks discredit Farrell? Has he been wrong a lot in the past? His comments on Lawson definitely give me some pause. When a message board "insider" (Uzzi) is pitted against a reporter who's job and credibility are on the line, I tend to lend more weight to the reporter personally. But curious other's perspectives.

His bets are hedged by the title. "predicting the unpredictable." Something similar every year.

Any time we're the only ones who feel confident gives me reason to doubt.

This will be a class of "almosts" but will give us confidence moving forward.

I hate to view it that way since we've been "Moral Victory U" over the last few years.

It's something to watch, definitely. They're probably going to lose RN, so they will put the full-court press on for sure.

Aint that the damn truth, but UT has to "turn the corner" at some point right?

They discredit him because he brought bad news. If he said its down to us and Clemson or could commit to UT this weekend then this place would be filled with "Booms" and fireworks.

UGA probably is citing the same reasons for not offering Lorenzo Carter. Stupid and looks bad for instate recruiting, its just arrogant to not offer 5-star top 5 national players. I hope they keep doing it because it has worked out well for Tennessee.

Sounds like the same nonsense with Dooley and his special brand of in state recruiting. Don't see how you miss on these guys.

Whatever. I was critical of the posts that was critical of the team I grew and will continue to cheer for. I married into a Vol family over 23 years ago. I pull for both and with all things being equal will still cheer for Tech over UT. But, I have been to more UT games over the last twenty years 10-1 over Tech but will not leave the team my dad taught me to love. If UT was undefeated and tech was a .500 team, of course I would pull for UT in that situation and GT if it was reversed. If you really want to take a few posts and deem me not a UT fan instead of looking at the other 1,000 then fine with me. But, I will stand up when a UT fan tells me GT sucks and is a ****ty school and will do the same if someone saids it about UT.

Big guy with your GTFO comments on a message board. That is for other guy........not you.

Always told people all schools have their idiots. UT and GT included. Some posters on here prove it. More of them are from Bama however.
GT sucks and is a ***ty school.

Let's be smart about this. Lawson's father stated on the visit to Florida Carl said didn't like how far away it was and wants to stay 3-4 hours away. I google mapped the schools from Kennasaw, GA.
Tennessee: 3hrs
Clemson: 2hrs
UNC: 6hrs 30mins
Ole Miss: 6hrs
Auburn: 2hrs 15mins
LSU: 9hrs

So if we are going based on distance and what we already know it is a Tennessee vs Clemson battle with Auburn in the mix. If he watch the national championship he knows it isn't a good idea to pick against the SEC.
