I only mean this slightly sarcastically, but Saban missed on this guy as far as evaluation? Not often Rivals gets it right and Saban doesn't. Rivals has had him high for a hile, right?
Evidentially he's only solid to auburn when talking about UT. He's wide open for bama or fsu.
SO people need to read before they post. No offense but I am one of the few UA posters on here so I take that comment directed at me. And so if you actually read the thread and go back I am was one of the ones that posted UT was a in it for him. I also dais he was not as solid to AU as some believed. I also have never on this board or any other said he was even considering UA. I posted today that UA now has interest in him. Never said Lawson did with UA. Again please read first.:bash:

It was not intended for you at all. In the future ask me before you blow up and I will be happy to tell you if the post was directed at you. A good indicator will be me quoting your post and then making a comment. My post was taking a light hearted shot at UT posters who give UT no shot when a recruit plans a visit, but when a current powerhouse in recruiting gets involved admits the recruit could be flipped.
Dude seriously? Focus on the kid. Football talk can wait.
I have been with both of them for 6 hours in the sun everyday this week at camp. I am a stay at home dad now that I am semi-retired. They already wear me out.
But he actually woke up and my wife was working on the computer so he came to me. Unlike my wife I can multitask, just can not type at the same time.![]()
I have a friend at the Auburn athletic department who I went to high school with who said that the biggest thing on flipping Lawson would be convincing his dad. His father has "loved" Auburn from day one and push Lawson to commit early. AU is the closest school he is interested in, his father likes it and he seemingly has been recruiting for Auburn.
I have a hard time believing the people at secrant considering the people who post this stuff over there are the same people who said that Jordan Jenkins and Eddie Goldman were going to UA and Stefon Diggs was going to UF.
-VolQuest.com"It's just a part of the game," Lawson said. "That's what schools are going to do. It happens every year. When I talk to them they just tell me they want me at Tennessee. They want to meet my family. Every school says that and they just want to get me to give them another look."
Lawson plans on taking all five official visits this fall and he says Tennessee will get one of those five. He likes Sunseri and Graham and believes Tennessee's new defensive coordinator can coach his potential position.
"Coach Sunseri is the best 3-4 outside linebackers coach," Lawson said. "He's a technician with it and he just knows so much. It's amazing that so much goes into certain things. Coach Graham is just a cool guy overall. They are both good coaches."
Flowd, do you know what question he was responding to in the first part of that quote? It sounds like someone may have asked him something along the lines of other schools negative recruiting against us.
He knows that recruiting attention won't change as long has he continues to listen to other coaches. Tennessee assistants Jay Graham and Sal Sunseri have been staying in regular contact with Lawson and he understands how this game works.
