Sorry Bruin I must've overlooked this post. I believe that CR is 100% VFL. It's been said many times that he has let Carl know how much he enjoyed his time in Knoxville and how he loves the program. He isn't pushing him to us but it can't hurt. Hopefully Thigpen can put us right in the mix. I think that the Barn hiring Garner only pushes him farther away from them. It's been rumored for weeks that his decommitment is a when not if situation. SCTiger can probably provide a better insight from the Auburn side.

Lawson is a very intelligent and serious young man. He is not doing public interviews, but there was a conversation with him last night and that is what he said.

Sorry but until I see something legit I refuse to believe it. Especially with a kid this good and how nutty this board can get over the slightest positive news.

I'm sure you understand why people in this board are skeptical after all the Gruden drama. As for me, I think you seem legit, but I also take all recruiting information with a grain of salt since it can switch on a dime. Appreciate the info you bring. Don't really care if it's true or not since following recruiting is about fun anyhow.

FWIW not only do the 247 analysts echo the sentiment but so do the guys at AJC. there is definitely something to it

To me SC Tiger has been one of the best rival posters and has proven he is not a homer or antagonistic. He gives the info when it is good for Auburn and when it is not. All recruiting news has to be taken with a grain of salt with kids being involved.

He is not a UT fan so when he posts stuff that is good for us and bad for his Tigers, it gives his info credibility all all times. Whether it is good or bad for us.

somebody paint a cool picture of him, and be sure butch shows him. We have several fans on this board who have made some awesome rock pictures. I believe it is a way we can somewhat do our part letting a kid know that he is a priority at UT.

Honestly, Auburn will have to out-recruit from here on out. He really doesn't know who is number 1. He loves Auburn and the atmosphere so much, but he had such a strong bond with the old coaches. I would say Auburn, Ole Miss, and Tennessee have a fair shot at him. My homerism leads me to believe he will sign with Auburn, but who knows? All I know is this kid is an amazing football player. Better than Nkemdiche IMO.

Read in the RF Football thread that CBJ's D philosophy is big on disruption and pressure in the backfield. Lawson would go a loooooooong way to getting that rolling. Hopefully the Garner hire does help UT here.
