'13 GA CB Shaq Wiggins (Transferring to UT)

You pups are hilarious. So I guess rivals is delusional to for having him ranked at the #28 CB prospect? He is a nice prospect and will be a solid college CB, but is far from a heck of a prospect.

shaq is on 247sports a 4 star prospect, #13 cb, and 92 rating. On espn is the #9 rated cb and 86th player in the country. he is a 4 star on scout and 11th cb in the country. yes shaq is a heck of a prospect.

of all the Fl CB's to compare him too. lol That's about his skill set and playing size.

The elite talent is in Orlando at the ESS combine...Shaq would get smoked by Fulwood, Coley and others.

Don't tell them that. They think he's better than Mac. Alexander. I can't wait til we catch Wiggins against one of our big WRs. Cam Patrick or J.Croom will be hollering just throw it up. Wonder what his feet will do for him then. It'll be like when J.Greer was matched up on Andre Johnson in Neyland. Just Mossed on my boy Greer with Greer hanging all over him. And I don't know if Wiggins will be as good as Greer was.

Agreed, there has never been a football player worth a damn that was under 5'11", right Breaker? :eek:lol:

Who said that??? Mac Alexander is under 5'11. But he's much better than Wiggins. Honey Badger, Tye Hill, Asante Samuel, the list goes on. I know that size matters. Ask Honey Badger what a guy the size of Da'Rick Rogers feels like trying to press and cover. Ask him how it feels getting bombed on by Hunter his first year. Croom and Bowles will be the ones to punish Shaq though. Get ready for it because it's coming UGA.

ask Janoris how Julio 'AA his azz in the SEC championship...height is important in press and man 2 man but not as much in cover 2/zone. FSU makes it work because they run combo coverage. If you don't have ideal height you better be fast and strong which SW isn't. He'll be a NB until he leaves Athens imo.

Hell when I said he would be a good nickel back they said I turned on the kid because he went to UGA. Wiggins comes to UT he wouldn't start IMO. Especially if we win this year and things hold true to form. By Wiggins junior year the top CBs on UT's roster would be: Deion Bonner, Daniel Gray(much more college potential than Wiggins), maybe Jalen Ramsey, and Jalen Tabor. All of these guys are better college prospects than Wiggins. Gray is severely underrated. It's a reason Bo Pelini wanted him. And he knows DBs as well as anyone(Saban included).

agreed.
SW is Cody Riggs' clone but he doesn't have speed or cover skills as lil Riggs. Cody has gotten 5 starts at UF because of injuries and he played ok but he's nothing more than a true NB.

Hell ask Greg Reid about Floyd in the bowl game. You can only hide a smaller CB so long. You've got to be a mean man to be a smaller CB and be good. That's why I like Mac Alexander so much. Guy plays the nasty style you've got to play at that height. I don't know if Wiggins style will translate well to the SEC. This is a nasty, physical league.

Reid will get exposed this year w/o Harris playing boundary and having more throws coming his way instead of going toward Rhodes.

Yeah Wiggins speed will be a problem at the next level. These guys think he'll be covering the same level of players he did in HS. They'll find out as soon as he gets on campus. UGA's WRs will expose him at practice.

kid was just jacked because he dad was out of prison. Came back down to earth again last year.

Anyone really paying attention saw he never left "earth" except for that one game. FSU fans have simply been delusional about him since he committed. Reid sucks and is a HORRIBLE cover guy, no comparison to Shaq.

Thank goodness we have people like TodDamn Grantham "really paying attention". Reid definitely isn't the greatest, but he's pretty dynamic with the ball in his hands....maybe he should've been a slot receiver.

Legitimate question for you UGA folk:

Is Shamire Devine a UGA lock?

Is Shamire Devine a UGA lock? Also, who is Ryan Jenkins?

Devine is leaning to GT atp but UGA and Vandy are in his top 3. Second MVP in 2 weeks. He's going to blow up.

Jenkins plays on the same team as Carlos Burse. Track guy that's becoming a great downfield WR.

BS. Shaq sucks and couldn't cover a statue.

Will also be going to The Opening. Ryan White have his invite yet? I am sure it just got lost in the mail if not...

Jalen Ramsey will be there. Let's see who posts a higher Sparq score. BTW I think White in Charlie Strong's defense will be much better than Wiggins in Grantham's D.

No, not IMO. We have apparently been cooling on him for a while now. Seemed like we are trying to take the leaner, more athletic OL who we can have gain weight once on campus over the already huge guys who we may have to control. There were reports he was up to around 370 at one point earlier this year so I wouldn't blame them for backing off some.

His weight is back down though and he is shining at camps, so unless we feel like we have our OG prospects all locked up, I would expect us to turn the heat back up on him. We have apparently offered his teammate Threatt just today, that could be an indication of that.

Fair opinion, we will see. Ramsey is a much higher rated prospect, so I expect him to outscore Shaq in SPARQ by quite a bit. :hi:

What level did you play DB at breakerboy, & how long ago?

You seem to have a lot of good insight regarding the position (& others). Thanks for bringing legit, detailed evaluation to the board. It's nice to see someone who actually knows what they're talking about regarding recruits, rather than people going strictly off of stars and the classic, "his film looks good".

Yep Shaq is going to the opening.. here is a list of guys who from the camp I believe are going to the opeining:

Shaq Wiggins, Reuben Foster, Brendan Langley, Alvin Kamara, Ryan Jenkins, Shamire Devine and Tray Matthews.

Shaq Wiggins received an invite to the opening and the gridironkings.

Tom Luginbill: "Yes, Shaq Wiggins does have feet like a sewing maching needle! Taller than he looks on tape which is HUGE! #nikecamp, #nftc"

According to Keith Niebuhr, Wiggins will step back and take a closer look at everything in his recruitment. He says Florida has been coming at him pretty hard.
