Bama was always high on this kid, he probably ranks at the top of the board with maurice smith as far as top CBs who Bama think they can get.

nah, but ok. u might have a point there regarding some fans thinking they can get everyone. but hey every fanbase has some. u have some fans that think they will get a player that doesnt even really mention them as a top school. the writing is on the wall and they still think they have hope which is sad.

M Smith always seemed to be #1 on our board after that I think between Burns Alexander VHIII and Langely among a few others it was a toss up of who we may actually get. Just like I think Bell is near the top for S but UA seems to be on the outside for him

But I am not convinved Langley is going to sign with UA even if he commits which I am not sure will happen. Reminds me of M Mitchel all over.

Same HS in GA that produced Brian Randolph, however Langley isnt the caliber player Randolph is. They played on the same team and Langley failed to show up bc Randolph was that good. Langley got an early start on offers bc of Randolph bringing so many schools to Kell, and his offer list reflects that. Now with that said, Langley is a good player in his own right, athletic and good size for a CB at 6'1. Hes got good speed and vision as he does well in the return game. Also did very well at various combines to up the hype surrounding him. Isnt scared to get physical and i think UT likes the possibility of him at WR as he does start at WR in HS as well. Watched him as well as Randolph since they were Fr in HS so my opinion is backed up with a lot of in person analysis but at the end of the day its just that, an opinion. Also its thought that UGA is the team to beat, but UT is pushing hard. Dooley had a skype session with Langley a week or 2 ago, and hes also skyped with Saban and Smart from Bama.

I wonder if the commitment of Maurice Smith to Bama will play a factor in Langley's decision

My understanding is Smith was 1 and Langley 2 on our boards. They both were at camp and both knew we want 2 in the class especially considering how many spots will be available in the future at UA for them. And if was is being siad is true Langley probably knew Smith was ours before Langley left camp and the latest articles were printed.

I know anthony averett is a saftey and is listed as an athlete, but what about deon johnson and adarius stewart who are also listed as athletes what positions were they recruited as

To be honest not sure. That has been a discussion on a few borads now and I think it may be decided by who we finish with. I know from what I have read the top 2 safties still on our board our Bell aand Connor. Bell right now seems to be all UT and MS kids are always hard to pull out of state. My guess is one them probably but we also pretty deep in safties.

I was just Curious because if they were db's then I was thinking that may scare langley away to ut, especially with the db haul you guys brought in last year, but don't be surprised to see TN to sign a large db class either

Even though some of our insiders feel really good about Langley I still think UGA will be hard to beat in the end for him. Unless they just totally screwed something up here. Again reminds me alot liek the M Mitchell situation

According to langley bamma and ut are the top two schools here but I agree with you I think georgia is still gonna make a strong push for him
