'13 FL RB Derrick Henry (Bama commit)

We didnt need or want him. Lane young and neal are special as shown by their ability to break tackles and get to the second level of the d.

When your selling message to recruits is early playing time, then your program's in trouble.

we will be playing a freshman running back at 330 tomorrow whom it seems to be working for and if ranked 5th in the country means ur program is in trouble then somebody please get in some more trouble.....

No surprises here, just letting the people know that couldnt follow it on ESPNU.

Derrick basicly summed it up best when he said how both teams have great programs, BUT what alabama has accomplished the last few years has been special.

Derek Dooley needs to win big games, like games this saturday, to land big time recruits.

Derrick Green now becomes Dooleys #1 overall target IMO, a kid we truely and badly need.

We are in the running for other backs in the rivals to 300 and the ESPNU150, but Green must be priority number 1.

GO VOLS // BEAT GEORGIA

This had no impact on Green's recruitment.

He has always been the No. 1 target.

And he will be a Vol.

Or simply still rebuilding and having to compete in recruiting in the toughest conference in football against other more established teams who have been competing for a NC or have won one or two in the past 5-6 yrs, along with having our top RB prospect decide to tuck tail and go home?! Are you kidding?'

Yeah, and do you think they are just goin to step aside and let three more in to take more of their snaps?! There is a stopping point.

Lacy may well go pro after this year. Fowler has made the switch to FB. Kelly Johnson is an H-back, and wouldn't be playing FB is Fowler hadn't gotten hurt. Ben Howell is a senior.

Point is, Bama hasn't had much trouble making sure guys get their carries.

Losing out on top RBs should not be anything our fanbase should get bent out of shape over. It has been happening for years now. Maybe we get Green, maybe Turman is a possibility. As they keep coming off the board, we can just claim the next guy to announce is the one we wanted all along. I think we have started this sort of thinking as a team as well. It's always "the next game" will be the one we break out and perform well.

Dude, no one gives a crap what you are saying right now, please go away. The simple fact that you continue to post on this thread is to just try and stir up trouble and emotions. Go to your own site and enjoy the pick-up, hopefully he will be a good LB or FB for you guys.

Well I am pretty sure Richt was not promissing early playing time when they were recruiting him....probably the chance to compete for playing time....so that just throws your theory right out the door...

We will get Green and Turman and I like that option a lot better considering our need at RB. Henry is already 240 lbs. at 17 years old. I'm thinking after entering a university strength and conditioning program, he's going to out grow the RB spot and end up at LB or DE.
