'13 FL RB Derrick Henry (Bama commit)

McFadden is tall too...6'2" I think

he was unreal at Arky

Jacobs is 6'4 264... Tight end size... Such a freak.. I've tackled a lot of big running backs, but I couldn't imagine trying to bring him down.

Says he is better than CJ Spiller and could be the next Marcus Dupree.

This kid I have heard drawn comparisons to Dupree. If there is a hole he is gone. Arm tackles are not enough and he loves to stiff arm. The video says his junior year but he acyually is a junior now. He is the top RB IMO for the 2014 class and from LA. L Fournette. He is 6'2 230 and runs a 4.5 40. He also a track star I believe. I remember reading something about his time in the 200 and how surprised people were because of his size.

This is the type of back that changes your offensive philosophy. Kill the pistol bring back the I formation!
The Pistol is an I formation. Just has the QB taking the snap halfway back instead of under the center. We do both, and I'm glad for it. The Pistol has it's own share of advantages. Mainly that it gives you the benefits of the traditional I formation, as well as the Shotgun. Nothing wrong with using it from time to time. More and more SEC offenses use it in a similar fashion.

This thread will be spectacular later regardless of outcome. This time tomorrow this thread will look one of two ways:

If he picks bama: It will end the way all threads on Volnation end... A debate on the merits of Derek Dooley. It will float around the top of the forum for a few more days only to slip to the underworld of page two. Then a random bump will transpire within the next week tearing the scab off a fragile wound.

If he pick the Vols: booms will resound, grown men will joyfully exclaim their affection for an over grown 17 year old man. He will be anointed as a combination of Jamal Lewis, Adrian Peterson, Brandon Jacobs, Walter Payton, with the shakes of Barry Sanders. We will win the SEC east, and the SEC title next year tonight. Then a know it all will come in and tell us he isn't as good as advertised and that will run this thread for a couple months.
