ESPN 150 running back Derrick Henry announced on Twitter today that he was going to push his announcement back until September now. I talked to his head coach, and he expects Henry to make a decision by the third week of the month. Basically, they are trying to find a date that works the best with his schedule in the fall.

The news shouldn't alarm Crimson Tide fans. I think he knows where he wants to go, and Alabama still looks to be in good shape to land his commitment. His other two finalists are Georgia and Tennessee.

I really look forward to the day when Bama fans lose their sense of entitlement towards every recruit on their radar.

3rd week of sept. Gotta beat FL imo to help get this guy. UT needs a win over UGA, FL, or USCe this year to help with recruiting.

UF/TENN game on recruits minds? :eek:lol: maybe a couple vol targets but outside of that idk guys we both sucked last yr lets just face it

now if we spank A&M and you do the same to NCST then the spotlight will get bigger

nah i mean, this this all sabans plan, he told henry to push it back to the UT/FL game. TW, there is no way you can see this as a positive for alabama, no matter what moderators on pay sites say. btw. sentimore and henry text every day.

I actually see it neither positive nor negative and see that nothing has changed except the date. I try to not read between the lines and assume there is more to it. The only thing from what I have gathered Saban has told Henry is do not commit until you are 100% sure.

BTW I pay very little attention to what a mod on a pay site says, especially since I am not on any pay site.

I know TW frustrates me at times but this post is probably true in the sense that ST. Nick wants him to be 100% sure. I think he likes Bama more now but not 100%. If UT runs the ball well and looks good overall, I think Henry will be even less sure where he wants to go because he will still be feeling UT and not be 100%. If UT starts off bad or is just pass happy with no nod to the running game, he will be 100% sure and commit to Bama. He has some UT love now even though I think he is still a Bama lean but not 100% Bama. It will be interesting to see what he decides if we are doing well and running the ball when he makes his decision. Bama leads as Henry has said as much but it is not a done deal. But, an uphill climb for UT.

im just giving you a hard time. :), im excited for once to see how this recruitment plays out. really is up in the air on this one. he likes both teams, and i think he is truly torn btw UT and UA.

He visiting UT because he has legit interest. CJG wants him to visit before he makes a decision and now has Henry coming for of the biggest gamesfor season home. No matter what either team is ranked the atmosphere will be rocking. CJG is doing a great job with Henry.

I still think whoever he does commit to he will be 100% and done with the visits.

Almost 250 now without a college strength and conditioning program..am I wrong in thinking he won't stay at RB in college?

Not allowed to say that on here. Because from everything I have read here he will never grow out of the RB position.
