He didn't go there bc he wanted to play RB and they wanted him at WR. I'm fairly certain on this one.
Or that's what the LSU fans were saying on here at least. Who knows how true it was
Looks like Alabama has the inside scoop and will probably land this kid...
In June, ESPN 150 running back Derrick Henry decommitted from Georgia after visiting the University of Alabama. He consequently named the Crimson Tide his leader. Henry returned to Tuscaloosa over the weekend for one more visit this summer at head coach Nick Sabans request.

Florida tailback Derrick Henry has Alabama on top.
It was fun, Henry said. Coach Saban wanted me to get up there one more time just to be around the coaches and be with all of the players and stuff, so we can get that chemistry. I had a real good time.
The Yulee, Fla., native has not made a decision on his commitment, but it might have seemed he had when he was hanging out with Tide players Kenyan Drake, Geno Smith and Vinnie Sunseri. He and Sunseri spent the most time together.
I like Vinnie, Henry said. I like his mentality and the way he carries himself. He works hard. I love being around that type of player.
After the trip, Alabama remains on top for Henry, and Saban made sure to let the 6-foot-3, 240-pound running back know that he was still a priority for the Tide and that his future was in the backfield.
He was just telling me that they want me, Henry said. They offered me as a running back, and he was talking about how I would fit in their system and how I could learn from Coach [Burton] Burns.
Before his latest trip to UA, Henry took visits to his other top schools, Georgia and Tennessee. He visited UGA for the July 13 Dawg Night and spent five days in Knoxville the following week.
Georgia was good, Henry said. I went back up there and talked with some of the coaches, talked with Coach [Mark] Richt. I hung out with some of the recruits like Tray Matthews, Shaq [Wiggins] and Alvin [Kamara]. We had a real good time. That was fun.
The Tennessee trip was good, too. I stayed there from Sunday to Thursday. I got to visit with the players some more and the coaches.
Henry says hes done with visits for the summer as his school starts full practice in pads on August 1. The original plan was to wait and make his decision after the season, but theres a chance he could now get it out of the way before his first game.
I was thinking about doing it after the season, but that may change, he said.
Henry added that he wants to get back to Alabama for a game this fall.
