'13 FL RB Derrick Henry (Bama commit)

Even if he didn't have them it would've made no sense to comeback. RB with a Top 5 grade needs to jump ASAP.

Yeah, there's not many backs going that high in the draft here as of late. Would have been a fool to come back. He can always come back and finish up his degree after football.

This is my number one for this class.. If we lose our wr's and starting qb to the league, we will really need a back like Henry to take the load.. And he's plenty big and athletic enough to do it.. We haven't recruited a big physical back like this in a looong time( Jabari David maybe?). I think this guy is what we r missing in our offense.

Per Scout, Henry said he is not as committed to UGA as he use to be & he is def keeping his options open. He will visit Alabama June 8th then Tennessee in July for our camp.

Chad Simmons said Alabama is the team to watch out for.

Idk if this has been mentioned yet but Henry is planning on being a EE.

He wants to take all 5 of his OV's.

Henry is 1a and Derrick Green 1b for me. These are two really good backs.

It seems like as the time goes by Henry is liking UGA less and less. I can't see him going to Bama with him wanting to be a RB, and them already having two committed. I'm beginning to really like Tennessee's chances! Especially if he comes for camp this summer and again for an OV. Thats, what 4 visits?

Ha! So bama already has tenpenny and jones. And now could end with Henry and AK too? Life ain't fair. Haha

For the record I don't think they get all 4. But just saying...

Simmons said he would go as far as saying it is 50-50 right now between UGA and bama.

SMH.

But the article doesn't say that. It talks about us and bama and UGA. All 3

I hope we are not the odd man out with Georgia, Tenn, and Bama all battling it out for AK and Henry.

I think they will try to get Alvin to play WR. They might tell Henry he will play RB , but no way he ends up doing so at Bama.

"I was talking to my coaches and we were breaking down the schools," the 6-3, 240-pound Henry says. "We were talking about what I think and what they think, and right now I think that Alabama is a place where everything that I want in college can happen."

Henry, who remains committed to Georgia for now, plans to make an unofficial visit to Alabama on June 8.

"After that visit on June 8th," Henry says," when I come back that Sunday or Monday, that's when I will know where I'm going."

From yesterday or this morning. FWIW, but if Henry for some reason did switch Kamara would probably eliminate UA as an option imo.

According to the latest interview he just spoke with Saban and was told UA wants him at RB, but depending on growth he may outgrow it.

That would put UGA in good position with Kamara, at least it would seem that way. Hopefully we hang on to Henry. Great kid and a very good looking prospect, can't blame him for looking around.

I think if Henry flips Kamara will probably jump on UGA pretty quick as their main back in the class. I had heard a few weeks ago that the staff was contacted by Henry and have been trying to decide if he was serious how it would play out with AK, because they figured it would push AK off.

If Henry flips AK either jumps on UGA right away or he holds out to see what UT does this fall. The longer he waits the better for UT. The problem I have as a UA fan with Henry is I doubt he can be a solid RB in college. I see him more like J Wilder. I think Kamara is by far the better RB especially with his speed.
