'13 FL RB Derrick Henry (Bama commit)

The fact that we are in the running with so many top tier running backs this year is reason for praise for coach Graham...and almost an indictment on Dooley.

Just makes you wonder why it took 2 years to get a RB coach.

Mabe waiting for the right coach...I know I would rather have coach JG, a former vol, as to have anyone else....

I agree. People tend to forget that cdd had less than 2 weeks to scramble to get the best staff possible to come to a shattered program. Takes time.

No sense in lamenting on it, it was a beef I had with the initial staff DD put together but I think we've got a very good staff now.

No complaints going forward, I just wonder what might have been had we had a RB coach in place from the beginning...but like I said, no sense in lamenting.

So what about Eddie George? He was 6'3. Kid will be a game changer!

This guy makes a valid point, but his pad level and strength was the main key

When he chooses? Love how you Nega- Vols like to call your shot just to say I told you so in case things don't go our way.

Ha...im not doing that. You just don't want to hear both sides. Besides what we as fans have said what makes you think Henry will be a Vol?

Have no problem hearing both sides. But a truly realistic person would realize he has yet to commit and the fact that he will be here for an official visit should be enough evidence that there is a strong possibility that Henry could end up a Vol.

I could care less about a running back from 1998. All I was saying after watching his film. He is 6-2 and tries to run around everybody. I think if we get him CJG is going to teach him to run with his pad level down.

This guy is steadily moving up to the top of my recruiting class of '13 want list.

Although, as long as CJG lands one of Henry, Green, Kamara, Folston, or Turman, I'll be happy....especially if it's one of the first three.

Just hoping against hope it'll be two...

2 of any of them would be excellent to have....

Did Price release his story on Henry yet? I'm on 247 but not rivals, so any info would be appreciated.

Does anyone have any info on the Austin Price's interview of Henry? Would love to see Derrick dancing in the checkerboard endzones next year. :loco:

(As long as he's in a Tennessee uniform.)
