Back to the thread, apparently this would be a package deal with his teammate John Franklin, the 2 star QB we offered a little over a week ago.

John Franklin - 4.38 40 yard dash according to Rivals

Whether or not that is accurate it still means he is fast. We can probably find another position with him besides QB and redshirt him while he learns the position (probably WR).

Hell if it would get us Collins I'd even give him a few years on the bench at QB.

I definitely wouldn't have a problem with it, seeing as though they could utilize Franklin's speed in other areas of the offense and it would score us a legit RB that could hit the ground running his freshman year. If we can over Nash Nance, who was never going to be someone that played, to get Da'Rick, we can bring Franklin in who has the athletic ability to actually contribute on the field.

I just watched an interview with the two and they seem to be really close. Both seem to have a good head on their shoulder as well, if CBJ and staff can make this miracle happen then it would quiet some of the speculators on this board big time.

A little late to try and land a kid like this. IF he was really interested, he may be the best RB we could sign. The guy just punishes people when he runs. I think about half of his runs on his tape showed him running over his own guys it seemed like.

Film is incredible, ranking is incredible, so what's up with the offer list?

I hope we have a legit shot here, I just don't know if I see it.

Let me be clear. I don't expect to land this guy. I just find it impressive that we managed to make such an impression in a short amount of time. I really don't expect this class to be great for us. However, I think the 14 class could be huge, and Collins talking the staff up like this is very encouraging to me.

Basically the schools in it for this guy are Miami, Florida st, Florida, Arkansas, and Tennessee no particular order.
