13 FL QB Asiantii Woulard

Even with Bray leaving, I think we are fine at QB only taking Ferguson. We have other positions of need before taking another QB.

There must be a good reason that no big time school has offered this kid. I'll let CBJ decide this one. He seemed to like him at Cinci, but obviously, he doesnt at Tennessee. He knows more about it that than I do (or anyone else on here, for that matter).

Yeah that might be true.. but I have watched some film on the kid and he stands tall in the pocket and has touch and power in his arm. That is just some stuff I love about a QB

If this staff does not offer Woulard I am afraid they will be making the same mistake the Kiffin regime did with Boyd .

The kid has skills. He wants to be a Vol.
Sign him up.

Every team needs four quarterbacks IMO

Not if you really like your chances to land a top guy in next years class. Having 3 very capable guys at QB is plenty most years. If things did get real bad and a couple got hurt, just line up AJ in the beast package and run it every down. The season would be shot by then anyways being down to your 4th QB.

I say we have our 4th Qb walk on this year and make sure we lock up Barker for next year, IMO.

I think that is what will happen. We do have 2 current guys listed on the roster at QB who will probably never see the field. I would imagine they are both walk ons. I would really like the idea of Charlie High walking on IF the coaches could talk him into it. He could always go on ship in a year or 2 if he showed he could play in the SEC.

What if Worley loses the battle and transfers? We only have two scholarship QBs, a RS-FR and a true freshman. Not something I feel very safe in.

It may be shrewd, but I'm not sure we name a starting QB until the fall. It may take until then to determine who best picks up the offense anyhow.

I really think Peterman will beat out Worley for the starting job.Jmo

I do as well. Especially with this offense. It tells you about a kid when they had a package for him before he got injured. I'm glad now that they ended up redshirting him. I am really excited from all the great stuff I have heard about him. Plus being a great leader, mature and extremely talented. Doubt we will see too many staring down of opposing teams bench or gatorchomps. But I think Worley would represent just as well. Good to have southern qb's competing for the job. All 3I will be.

Also, for all the idiots on here because it really is stupid to believe a recruit's dad would post on a fan site forum. SELDOM SEEN is not Woulard's Dad.

I do not have any sources saying this is true. I think the odds of that being his dad are about as good as the world ending on Friday.

I agree, it's probably not his dad. But Austin Sanders dad does post on here, so there goes that theory.

Exact and so does Croom's Mom and did before he committed. On TOS Arian Foster's Mom did and she was really nice, even with the abuse Srian took from some fans.

I think that Worley did play some type of spread in hs but I think it was kind of a glorified pro style offense. To me Worley cannot run where Peterman can. Also from what I have been told Peterman has a arm on him and so does Riley Ferguson. It looks like if RF is as good as advertised we may have an interesting qb battle come spring and fall camp.

Who is advertising him as good and where are they doing it cause I've not heard anything on him. I'm not trying make an argument for Worley, cause I've not heard anything about any of out Qbs. I know everybody hates on Worley eventhough he's not really played.

I think this is a fantastic get for Tennessee, especially this late in the cycle, as funny that sounds.

So many quarterbacks are off the board, and Ferguson represented great value at this stage because he’s comparable to a lot of those.

He is always one of the best performers at camps and has a moxie about him that I feel is one of his strengths as a quarterback that other prospects might not have.

Ferguson is a good athlete/scrambler who essentially is a high risk-reward player. Lives on the edge, so to speak, with his decisions, but makes plenty of plays to override the miscues.

Riley committed over 6 months ago. It wasn't exactly "late in the cycle". RF is who CDD targeted very early in the process.
