13 FL QB Asiantii Woulard

So what happens when he pulls something like the LB last year that flipped last minute to Arkansas?

This is why a highschool Sr should never be given that kind of power. Extremely irresponsible. especially with Bray possibly leaving and understanding that prior to making this promise is mind blowing

Speaking of offer lists and QB's, what was Johnny Football's offer list? V nation would have melted down if Dooley had signed him. He's listed as a dual threat that runs a 5.4.... Now he's the only freshman ever to be Heisman!

Ok well does RF have any mobility at all or is he another Bray type QB? I'm not asking if he's got blazing speed, but does he have the ability to extend a play with his feet or is he more likely to just toss it out of bounds and go to the next play?
I'm just asking because even watching the NFL you can see the QB position is evolving. I honestly believe we need a QB that is at least a threat to run if all the WRs are covered. Having a statue QB will not get us to an SEC title unless we can start recruiting like Bama, and well, that isn't gonna happen any time soon.

Yes but him winning it was media based anyone with half a brain could see who shoul have won it. They gave it to him to make history IMO Te'o should have won it and deserved it to have 7 picks on the year an only miss 2 tackles all year is amazing.

If RF is not okay with another QB taken, then he can take a hike. He's not a make or break it player, many like him will come and go. CBJ needs to do whats best for the program.

I don't have an opinion on RF vs AW, but if RF leaves because we sign another QB, I say good riddance.

This... Plus the elite 11 comp proved to me anyways that woulard could handle pressure, perform, and emerge the winner. Would like a winner on this football team. Hopefully that will rub off on the rest of the team

Didn't Woulard end up higher rated than RF in the Elite 11 anyways. If so why are we discussing this. Offer Woulard

I think people need to be careful what they wish for. When it plays out that RF decides the promise made to him was tossed aside so AW could be offered I think we are going to get burned. I can see it now, RF says screw it and heads to WI and then AW decides last minute to go somewhere else. RF has stuck to his commitment to be a VOL coaching change or not. AW can not say that. It's a huge risk IMO. I think we already have the better QB ready to sign commited. With Worley, and Peterman already on campus, RF has plenty of competition.

I strongly agree. Be careful what you wish for. Bama's Offensive Coordinator and QB's Coach was at Riley's basketball game Tuesday night in Charlotte. Let's just say..he wasn't there to see Ferguson's hops. You would think he would have better things to do since he has the National Championship to plan for in a few weeks. Oregon, Louisville, Arkansas etc...are hot on RF's path. He is 100% committed to the Vols, unless something crazy happens that's beyond his control.

Riley broke his thumb shortly before the E11 camp. Even with the injury he graded high at the camp because of his mental toughness and athleticism.

Ferguson broke the thumb on his throwing hand day 1. He was in the top 11 after the 3rd day, but couldn't pick up a football on days 4-5, so he finished out of the top 11.

agreed. Woulard is phenomenally talented but so is Riley Ferguson. Riley has also made if clear that he is and will be a vol through thick and thin.

Oregon? Really? Oregon has like 4 freshmen on the roster at qb one is the starter. Talk about competition. What's beyond his control either he's committed or not.

FYI, the new UT offensive coordinator & QB coach will be in Charlotte tomorrow night to visit RF at his basketball game.

Meaning the coaches decide not to honor his commitment... that's kinda out of his control.

Ok so let me get this straight, people are saying RF might decommit to us because we offer another QB, but from what his dad is saying, if that did happen, he would most likely commit to a school that has AT LEAST 1 other QB already commited???

USMC1 is this true, that your son would likely decommit because we offered another QB?

I'm not trying to be negative, seriously, just trying to figure this all out.
