13 FL QB Asiantii Woulard

its like what you imagine james harrison looked like in HS lol if it wasnt on the football field they'd lock his ass up for some them hits

I like the ground and pound as well. UT has had much success with this style of play. But, aTm beat Bama using a mobile QB and had much success this year. Not saying UT will have the same. Remember our success when we did play with a mobile QB, Tee.

Shuler was dual threat as well, or a pocket passer with serious wheels.

USF and Coach Willie Taggert just got a commitment from QB Michael White about 10 minutes after he won his classification's State title

Pretty good size, athletic, smart with the ball, good pocket presence. He also looks like he has a high cieling and looks very coachable.

Want.

Hmmm...wonder if this is very good news for us and AW?

IDK if it's been posted on here already or not, but this kid also won the overall MVP at the Elite 11 competition this past year (they have the Finals on youtube if anyone wants to look it up, or I can go back and post links but they're both about 45 mins long). The kid can play, and he seems like nothing phases him. Riley Ferguson was also in the last stage of the competition too.

For someone alleged to be "raw," he sure does make some seasoned decisions on the fly. At the 1:25 mark, he looks off the defender (in the flat), to create space for him to hit the other WR on the slant. And look at the zip on the ball.

Then later, as the pocket is collapsing, he sees the middle open up. Instead of just taking off and running with it, he stops short of the LOS and heaves the pass to a WR downfield. We've taken 2 QB's in the past, when there has been need, and with Bray likely leaving, there is a need to do so again.

It's a good sign of maturity when they already have the "pass first, run later" mentality coming out of high school. I remember watching Brent Schaefer as a freshman. He was an elite athlete but always wanted to tuck it and run if his 1st option was covered.

somebody will have to explain to me how doofus could be so stupid and over look AW he wants to come to UT I just don't understand i guess this just really shows how really bad he was as a coach and evaluator

He did wait till the last second to start recruiting Vonn Bell, and he let AJ Turman slip through the cracks.

So every coach in the SEC except for Hugh Freeze and James Franklin are really bad coaches and talent evaluators? We got a good quarterback in Ferguson, and one that fit better than Woulard in our previous regimes system.

I will say this... purely hypothetical...

if Peterman wins the QB battle with Worley and Worley looks for opportunity elsewhere, we will need to have taken two QBs in this class.

So, by your logic, Tyler Bray should never have been offered? Nobody else in the SEC was banging down his door. Sometimes, in order to keep one QB commit from flipping to another team, you wait to take the 2nd later in the Recruiting season. Not saying that was the case here, but it's certainly plausible.

Nowhere in my post did I stat whether or not we should or shouldn't offer him. Just pointing out that if you are going to call Dooley doofus and a poor talent evaluator/coach for not offering Woulard the same should be said about every other SEC coach except Freeze and Franklin. There are a lot of things that people can bash Dooley on, but I'm tired of seeing posts like the original poster I was responding to that get carried away.

Taggart is a beast!! He will be in the SEC eventually.
Dingleberry...are you trying to torpedo our chances with Asiantii? (smacks poster in the back of the head)

Woulatd has a good arm, but not great. Give him time to mature a little bit at the position and he could be dangerous. He seems to have quick feet and is deceptively fast, but remains to be pass first which is something I wouldn't expect from a new QB
