True, we'll see how he pans out. Just pointing out the fact he is atleast developing the reputation of being a hitter something we can't say about many of our LBs

He would help us right now. A great fit for our D. Alas, he is at the fake UT.

Pretty sure at practice AJ, Lathers, and Brewer are all big hitters.

Practice is a bit different from games. IJS

Until any of them prove it in a game consistently it's just hype.

FWIW: I hope Santos does well in Austin. :)

Santos has already had a couple in game big hits and is tearing up ST duty. Face it, he's a big hitter and one fluke play in an all star game never changed that.

I agree. It was only one play.

I loved Santos' attitude towards the game more than anything, which is kind of funny in itself. BB, you seem to praise players who talk a big game and go out and perform. Santos has done nothing but that. He wants to go out there and hit people, and he's doing just that.

At any rate, I don't want to turn this into a Santos love fest with chavis and I. We should just give credit where it's due, and losing Santos last year sucked.

I praise players on teams I watch. If I watch Texas it's really just for the secondary play. Haven't even gotten to watch a whole game of theirs outside of WVU ripping up that defense. And Andrew Buie gashing them for 200 yards.

Santos had nothing to do with WVA

they were in DIme every snap.

When santos has been on the field, he has made plays

I gotcha. Well, if you watch Texas at some point this year, I think you might change your mind on Santos.

  • Fast twitch-very short duration high-intensity bursts of power such as maximal and near-maximal lifts and short sprints. "This seems to be as close as it gets to 250lbs of fast twitch muscle" fact is I can't see the kids muscle fibers so I'm not really sure with out a physical if I can evaluate his twitch speed.( maybe Farrell can teach me that one. BUT I DO KNOW In this video ZANCA IS CHASING DOWN a speed burner; WITH ANGLES OF COURSE AND ONE OF THE FASTEST KIDS IN THE STATE OF FLORIDA FROM SIDELINE TO SIDELINE

The problem to this layperson seems to be that guys are consistently a half second (or more) late to the hole. This results in arm tackles at best and 6 pts for the bad guys at worst

Ya, hitting big is the least of our worries. If they just filled gaps and grabbed ankles instead of giving up TDs I'd be happy.

Grabbing ankles is the league will get you killed. The backs are too good to knock put your helmet on them. We've got to drop the hammer on these backs. Let them know who they are playing against early and often. You've got to let em know we mean business all game. Ankle biting won't send that message.

I don't think anyone would prefer an ankle tackle to a wrecking ball tackle, but being in the hole to stop the TD run is our biggest problem now, and I'd be happy just to stop the 70yd runs, even if it wasn't a demolishing blow that destroyed the RB.

Olympia is a team full of D-1 talent beat that (Corey Vereen's West Orange Team) and Tonight Olympia take's their Offensive POWER HOUSE to introduce themselves to Vereen's future Volunteer teammate Dominic Zanca and the Lake Brantley Patriots. Olympia's John Armstrong and the Titans average 30 points and 405 yards.

Can Zanca contain John Armstrong's 5 TDs help Olympia beat W. Orange

Game of the Week I will be attending this game for sure. Zanca will need to bring the hammer which he seems to have on him at all times. I will be watching to see if he can control this aggression when things get very tough tonight against a battle tested group that is as relentless he is. Battle of the Wills one of the State's Top Defensive against one of the States Top offense.

Olympia's high-powered offense features running back John Armstrong.

Titans, ranked No. 7 in the Sentinel Super 16, take on No. 6 Lake Brantley (5-1)

"My blood pressure is through the roof," Titans coach Bob Head said. "It's a war every week. We can never relax."

Olympia lost to No. 1 Dr. Phillips, No. 2 Timber Creek and No. 5 Freedom. Still, no team in the area is in a better playoff position than the Titans, who are 2-0 in Class 8A, District 4 and have victories against top contenders Apopka and West Orange. Apopka was one of only team to beat Lake Brantley in over two years.
