How is this getting ignored? I don't mind this at all.

I guess all the excitement over harris. Personally i would like to see this guy commit and would be more excited about it than harris, due to the fact that we definitely need quality depth in the front 7 than anywhere else. If we could pull him and phillips this week it would be monster imo.

Like what happens every single season, you'll get these lightly recruited guys who seem to pop up out of the blue. Well, here's one of them.

Kid has a great skill set for a 0/1-tech. Lots of push even with the double-teams. Not a pass rusher. 2-down kind of pure nose tackle. Pretty much perfect for the way Dooley likes to rotate linemen.

Absolutely we do. Alot of people dont realize that. I doubt we lose all 3 of DR, JH and CP but just saying we do and ZR graduating that would leave us with Croom, Bowles, Blanc, Howard(if he doesnt get moved to RB) and possibly Dallas. Plus the kid that had a great spring, forgot his name. So if by some unlikely chance all 3 leave then we will be majorly short handed. I do believe Croom will be a stud, Bowles a great posession type WR and Pig a playmaking slot guy as well as Blanc who im very excited to see.

I think your thinking of Carter who shined this past spring. Don't forget Patterson I personally don't think he will leave unless he just has an unbelievable season. There is going to be some adjusting he has to do to SEC football also. But again JMO

Absolutely we do, my point is i believe we need it in the front seven desperately. I also think wr is a little easier for us to recruit due to the caliber of quarterback we have neen bringing in and the system we run. Its no secret recruiting dline and rb have been hard on us in recent years. But you are absolutely right, we are thin at wr as well (although the talent we do have is top shelf imo).

Definitely. I think D.Rogers will be the only one that leaves. I think Hunter and Patterson come back for their SR years. Croom can step up and be the tall, physical replacement for Rogers. No doubt we are back as WR U. Thankyou it was Carter.

HG, thoughts on Mobley as a NT?

I like the kid.Love his size and true 0-tech don't grow on trees. If you have a few other NT ahead of him then he's a good kid to take. IIIRC he's camped at UM and FAU so his list should grow.

I see a lot of potential with this kid. I see 3 things he can improve on from his film and he can be a force in the middle.

1. pad level-too high coming out of stance 2. strength-stays in a 4 point stance due to lack of upper body strength 3. hands- he is chicken winging through those blocks, if he used his long arms/hands to get separation then look out.

These 3 things are coachable and will be addressed in college. I see him needing a red shirt year to improve on these things and then be ready to contribute by his soph. year, which is normal. Good nose tackle prospect imo.

WTF....Just making a comment about the kid being raw. You don't like it then go to class and quit wasting your parents money sitting in the dorm surfing the internet. I played DL in college and was making a general comment about his technique being poor, but coachable. It's getting to the point where you can't post anything on this board without someone making smart a$$ remarks, or acting like they know more than you.

is his rivals offer list accurate? If so, yea, I'd say we lead by an insurmountable margin.

This kid is a NT all the way for us, and his offer list is not critical for what we want him to do. We need to keep in mind that a NT's job is to take up space and require two o-linemen to block him, collapse the pocket if possible, and to cover the run game in his area. The requirements for doing that are to be big, strong, and physical -- and does not necessitate a player with a high star rating. See Alabama's nose tackles for a good example of that. Sure, a stud D-lineman that everybody wants is always nice, but not required.
