These kids concern me...

I'm guessing you are talking about what he is saying about his coach? I mean , look how outspoken his coach was when Alexander made his decision to commit here. He was shocked and acted pissed about it. He even said something about not knowing that he made his choice. As if he should have some say so on what he wanted to do. It's funny that Alexander went to a ton of places this summer , but Tennessee (the school he was once committed to ) wasn't one of them.

Yeah that's very problematic. A high school coach has no business approving a visit. That's crap.

I think OCI is referring to comments regarding education and how all he wants to do is play football.

"We haven't been able to set up anything yet because my coach is only allowing us to go away on certain games and we have to get that (checked) with him so we have to talk to him about that and how we can make things work."

Yeah I'm with you on that...WTF?

It's reasonable to me. They want them focused on Friday, not thinking about getting the treatment on Saturday. If a player does not have solid parents, a good coach can help set things up and guide the process

Some HS coaches don't allow players to take OV during the season.

true, which is fine. but do yall think that's 100% the case with this particular school?

It's a kids future and a very critical part of it. Shouldn't dictate where he visits. It's not his place.

I'd say that sentiment (regarding education) is shared by a lot of recruits, the difference is whether he has the drive to do what's required off the field, to keep him on the field.

"Every school is going to provide me with an education, I just want to play. I just want to play football," Senat offered. "

Immokalee is a low income, unincorporated, agricultural community. I interpret Senat to mean---I see football (NFL) as an opportunity to provide for myself and my family.

Football is a great sport, but some of these kids need to revisit their priorities. The idea of relying more on football than academics to secure a future is disconcerting.

That area (the muck) has some of the worst schools. They produce amazing athletes, but there are more than a few that don't pan out because they can't do the bare minimum in the classroom. The problem is more than just shady coaches. It's parents (or lack thereof), teachers, coaches, neighbors, friends, etc. that set the bar so low for these kids. like someone else said, South Florida is a different world.

If you misspelled "hear" on purpose it would be sarcasm. If you dont know the difference between "here" and "hear" then it would be ironic. Capiche?

Or this I-phone could do whatever it wants when I type. Could that be another possibility? As for here/hear, it's kinda like saying Dick. Are they just calling you your name, or.......?

I see what you dogs there. Insert random comment about misspelling from a mobile phone.

Lol. I was trying to say 'I see what you did there', and my phone autocorrected 'did' to 'dogs'. Basically I was trying to agree with you but my post backfired.

I gotcha. Yeah, these "smart" phones are too smart for their own good at times. But I'm sure they've corrected words I've absolutely butchered at times as well. I'm certain of that.
