I wouldn't be surprised to see a fifth before it is said and done, not kidding. These star ratings crack me up, and fans buy into the stupidity.

Yeah I wouldn't either. Stars are simply opinions from other people about players. It's also funny how easily those opinions get influenced.

Not surprised. Pensacola is full of Alabama fans. Betweeen Trent Richardson, Glen Coffee, DJ Hall, and more, there are a lot of kids from here that go to bama. Of course most of our TV stations come from Mobile, so you hear about bama and auburn as much as UF or FSU.

I agree people get excited about these players because some couch potatoe watches film and determine where a player ranks.

And yes alot of times players who may be 2 or 3 stars get a bump after Saban offers or they commit, and the same goes for other coaches out there. But it is not because certian services like one coach better or their program even though some fans will swear by it because their class may not be high enough for them rated, but remember Saban, Dooley and whoever else get paid millions to evaluate players, not like the guys at Scout, ESPN, Rivals, or 247 who make 30-40K a year.

The coaches and staffs that show they can evaluate players and those player equal their rating the services follow them. In this case I think they just had not evaluated him and like alot of players they usually get a bump after the summer circut.

Make it an automatic 5 star then :p
Haha jk.

Maybe they learned their lesson when they only rated M Ingram a 3 star and the 58th best RB in his class and thought Saban and thought they could out evaluate Saban. :)

In the end as long as your staff is happy with who they want who cares about the services.

Paige was ruled ineligible for football this past spring at his FL high school

Yep is old HS in FL was on a 6 block class schedule which would not allow him to graduate and be cleared for the 2013 class. This reason he was ruled ineligible for HS is because he did not have enough course work completed going into the fall. Foley HS works on a 8 block class schedule which will allow him to get the credits he needs to graduate. Also atleast one of his team mates Dejon Funderburk is transferring as well but to another FL school. Rumors are 2 more may as well transfer. Funderburk is commited to S Alabama I believe.

At this time he will be enrolled at Foley HS for the fall, but probably not play football, unless the family can meet the requirments by AHSAA. Also most believed and most have been reporting since he commited that he was headed to JUCO.

This is only news bc it Bama. Kids in Central/SoFl transfer schools every year w/o any news coverage. No one said anything when Chris Casher transfered for this same reason.

Exactly because look at this in GA.

Athletic transfers top 6,000 for 2011-2012
8:45 am August 7, 2012, by GHSF Daily

More than 6,000 Georgia students who transferred high schools in 2011-12 sought to play varsity sports at their new schools, according to documents released by the Georgia High School Association under Open Records laws.

Only 4,603 of those transfers were approved by the GHSA, the rest being declared ineligible for at least one season.

The funny part is this kid transferred from a FL HS to a AL HS only 30 minutes away. Yet AU fans are screaming about it, but yet R Foster transferred from a GA HS to a AL HS 30 minutes away. Foster was so well orchestrated yet no concern.

BTW it also got a lot of attention because the AD is a corndog and he was the one that contacted the AHSAA.
